The game will be played in three rounds, each round having 10 unique categories. For each round, I will randomly generate a letter (excluding Q, U, V, X, Y, and Z) and announce the result along with the categories for that round, at which time a 24-hour timer will start. You must submit your answers within that time. Answers must start with the letter given (with exceptions to be noted below) and relate as directly as possible to the categories to which they correspond. For example, if the letter given is T, your answers may look something like this:
...and so on. Answers1. City - Tokyo
2. Colour - Teal
3. Animal - Tiger
- Do not start with the letter given
and/or
- Do not relate to the category (this is judged at my discretion)
and/or
- Have been submitted by one or more other players.
- Start with the letter given
and
- Relate to the category
and
- Have not been submitted by any other player.
- Fulfil the criteria to be awarded one point
and
- Are alliterative. For example, if the the letter given is T and the category is Country, an answer of Trinidad and Tobago would be worth two points as long as nobody else gives the same answer.
- If the category calls for a person, the answer is judged by the person's surname. For example, if the letter is T and the category is Musician, Shania Twain would be an acceptable answer, but Tom Petty would not. The rule on alliterative answers does apply here too, however, so an answer such as Tina Turner would still be worth two points.
- Stage names are acceptable; players are advised to use their best judgement in this area. The stage name must be common enough to be easily recognised and I will judge these case by case.
- If the category calls for a title of some sort, articles (viz. "the", "an", "a") are not counted as part of the answer, nor do they count for alliterative answers. The letter applies to the first non-article word in the title; any subsequent words are fair game for alliteration.
- Although I can't stop you using the internet, it is strongly discouraged. The object of the game is to test your knowledge and creativity, not your research skills.
- Answers are ultimately judged by me and my decision is final.
