Plotting The Caper

This is a game I'm working on with MoS as a sort of one night mafia variant, so just know it's a work in progress.

Story

A Mob Boss is trying to send a team on a caper to rob a bank. He needs to send a team capable of doing the job. Unfortunately, some unfavorable people have joined his work force. He needs to choose his team correctly, while remaining hidden from any cops, in order for the caper to succeed.

How To Play

A normal game of
Plotting The Caper
starts with passing out the roles. All roles contain a number, 1-5, in three stats: Driving, Safecracking, and Explosives. A deadline will be set for 2 weeks, in that time, discussion of who to send on the caper in what position occurs. After the time is up, the Mob Boss reveals himself amongst the group and chooses one person to be the Driver, one person to be the Safecracker, and one to be the Explosive Expert. The three chosen players then have their roles and stats revealed. The driver’s driving ability is added to safecracker’s safecracking ability which is then added to the explosive expert’s explosive ability. If this number is equal to or greater than 10, the caper succeeds. If this number is less than 10, the caper fails.

  • You are the one who selects who goes on the caper.
  • PM me a list of players any time to send on the caper in the respected position you want them in. (Example: "I want PlayerA for Driver, PlayerB for Safecracker, and PlayerC for Explosives")
  • You may not select yourself
  • You must try to stay unknown, if a cop flips and guesses who you are, the caper automatically fails.
  • Once time is up, the thread will be locked. Your most recently sent in list will be posted in thread and results will be announced.
Win Condition

You win if the caper succeeds.

Mercenary
  • You are trying to put a stop to this caper!
  • As such, you're as bad as you can be in each field because you want to sabotage it.
  • Once per game, half the cops rounded down but at least 1 (AKA, one of you) may flip yourself as cop by posting "
    ARREST: Player
    ." If the player arrested is the mob boss, the cops win. If not, the cop is confirmed as a cop and the game continues. The flipped cop is informed of the role of the player he arrested.
Win Condition

You win if the caper fails.

Well technically cop could accuse his partner of being the mob boss.
