RAF: Wingman edition (Stage: End - Left: 1)

1. An even number of players are split into teams of two and compete in a deadly version of Rochambeau.
2. Each round, if you're alive, you have 24 hours to submit one of the following three actions:

Shoot: Player
Shoot: Self
Shoot: Sky (aka Do Nothing)

3. If you are shot, you're out.
3a. If you are shot and you shoot yourself, everyone who shot you is out and you are safe.
3b. If you shoot yourself and no one shoots you, you're out.
3c. If you shoot someone who shoots the sky, they're out.
3d. If you shoot someone and they shoot you, you're both out.
4. If you miss deadline, you will default to whatever action will kill you. If this would eliminate your team, you will finish in last place.
4b. If you submit after deadline, the onus is on me for not calling time on time, and you're safe.
5. If you so much as hint to your wingman's identity, dead or alive, you're out. Conditions apply; if you were sadfacing at a friend's demise and they happened to be your teammate, you're safe. If this would eliminate your team, you will finish in last place.
6. Any actions posted in thread will result in instant death. Period.
7. Editing and/or deleting your posts are disallowed. This applies to foulings of Rule 6.
8. Last team standing wins.
9. If the remaining players of a round would hit 0, the round is redone. There are no draws.
10. Teams will be revealed when they are eliminated.

When I first saw this I interpreted RAF as Royal Air Force (probably due to the word "wingman" and my recent obsession with Axis and Allies). I only just realized it's also the name of the game (Ready Aim Fire).

Are we allowed to communicate with our teammates outside of the game thread?

You can communicate with your wingman anytime. If either of you crash out you can stil talk.

You can also talk to enemies to form alliances and stuff if you need to.

Once you are eliminated (both of you out) you can no longer do that.
