Apples To Apples R8 - SHALLOW - submit choices!

No idea if this will work on a forum - let's give it a shot.

1. At the start of the game, each player gets (from me, by PM) a hand of 5 "red apple" cards, each of which is an object, person, event or something similar. For example, you might get "Chocolate Cake", "Birthdays", "Ronald Reagan", "Werewolves" and "The Apocalypse".

2. Each turn, I will reveal a single "green apple" card, containing (loosely) an adjective. So it might be "Delicious", "Sexy", "Terrifying" etc...

3. Each player takes it in turn to be the judge. Every player, except the judge, chooses a single red apple card from their hand that they think most exemplifies the quality displayed in the green apple card, and PMs me their choice. So, for "delicious", you would probably want to think about "chocolate cake". But what if it was "terrifying"? Are werewolves scarier than the apocalypse?

4. There will be a (possibly flexible) deadline of 48 hours to submit, or you miss your chance to participate in the round.

5. I will then post the anonymised list of submitted "red apples" in the forum.

6. The judge then decides which of the red apples submitted

best matches the quality described on the green apple card

, and the person who submitted that red apple scores a point. It would help if judges used the

VOTE:

tags for this to show that the choice is final.

Arguing and persuasion are positively encouraged

, to help the judge reach the right conclusion, but

keep all discussion in the thread - no secret discussion by PM

. The judge's decision on choice and interpretation is final.

7. After the choice is made, everyone who submitted a red apple (usually everyone except the judge) receives a replacement card so they once again have five cards in hand, and it is the next player's turn to be the judge.

8. First to four points wins!
