In this game, each of you will be given the role of a specific animal. Each animal will have a victory condition, and a corresponding defeat condition. Your task is to meet the victory condition. Those who manage to do this will earn a reward, and be safe from elimination. Two players will be selected, out of those who do not meet their victory condition, to play a deathmatch game, the loser of which will be eliminated.
- At the start of the game, each player will be given the role of one out of thirteen animals (see next post for all available roles). Additionally, each player will be allowed to select one other player, and learn their animal. Each animal has a victory condition, a corresponding defeat condition, a home area, and potentially some special attributes or actions. Furthermore, each animal will privately be given three side missions.
- The game will take place in four areas: Field, River, Forest, and Sky.
- The game will last for four (4) rounds. At the start of each round, each player will select one of the four areas to go to, with the following exceptions:
1) A player cannot be away from their animal's home area for two consecutive rounds. That is, if an animal spends a round out of its home area, it must go to its home area on the next round. There is no maximum restriction on the number of times a player chooses to go to their animal's home area.
2) Any animal that is not a bird, cannot visit the Sky area.
- Once every player has chosen the area they wish to go to for that round, the round will start, and will last for 48 hours. Every player will be told which other players are in their area (but not what animal they are).
- During this time, a player can attack any player in the same area as them. If the food chain rank of the attacker (noted in the role descriptions) is higher than that of the defender, the attacker kills and eats the defender. Otherwise, nothing happens.
- Attacks will be resolved in the order received, except that if a player chooses to attack more than once per round, their second and subsequent attacks will be resolved after any other attackers are also allowed to make their attacks.
- Where the above may cause a player's action to be invalid, due to timing, the round may be extended an extra 24 hours. It is recommended when attacking to also send in a conditional secondary attack, if your first target is already dead.
- Each attack, along with its result, will be announced to the players in the same area.
- At the end of the round, the names of the players who were killed that round (but not their roles) will be announced.
- There will be a 24 hour break between rounds, unless all surviving players ask to skip it.
- At the end of the fourth round, the players who have met their victory condition will be asked to choose two of the players who did not meet their victory condition, to have a deathmatch, for the round's elimination.
- All private communication is allowed between rounds. However, during rounds, you may only communicate with other players in the same area as you.
- Any player who meets their victory condition gets $75,000 to their account.
- In addition, three secondary missions will be given to each player. Fulfilling these will give that player $10,000, $25,000 and $40,000 respectively, regardless of whether they met their victory condition, or not.
- Please note that these secondary missions may turn out to be quite unbalanced.
