You could put it in your inventory, that's part of the normal rules. IIRC you can do so at the start of your turn and during pregame, but only for treasure cards not door cards.

OkaPoka defeats the harpies, he goes up a level and gets two treasure. He however had 8 cards and he may only have a maximum of 5. OkaPoka, you must play cards until you're down to 5 or Zebulin and JasonWazza will have to roll a die and recieve some from you.

Sorry to keep nitpicking, but the second post says Oka has 4 cards. He had 7, used 1 GUAL, and put 3 in his inventory. Shouldn't his cards say 3 then, since he should now have 3 in his hand?

He's definetely got 4, I've rebuilt the situation with the cards on my desk. I made a mistake by typing 7 for some reason but it's correct now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
