As you pointed out, Time Traveller should be impossible since we would have lost before the Loop ended if there was one.

LLD linked us a reference chart in the first post that leads me to believe the Journalist died because they were left alone with the Serial Killer. This person doesn't seem to be a key person since the loop didn't end immediately.

Are the plots and subplots in the beginners guide the only ones that can be possible for this narrative?

Yes, Office Worker = SK is the only possible explanation for the Journalist dying D1, also Lilith used the OW ability to confirm he's the SK.

There's a pdf with all possible plots in the second link of LLD's first post. We're playing of Basic Tragedy, which is the second page of that pdf.

I agree with most of what has been said. I think there are three probable main plots, two of which can be prevented by keeping less than two intrigue on the shrine by loop end.

I don't understand why you ruled out time traveler. I think one of the loss conditions is having less than two goodwill on last day end, but this is mostly mechanically related (and why I'm asking).

The description for time traveler is "last day day end" loss, not "loop end" loss. I think there is a difference, and the loop ended before we lost so if LLD is making them different then it's not time traveller.

Okay. If it's Time Traveler, I think it would become more apparent after a second loop anyway.

If there is a friend in the game, it's probably better we don't go looking for time travelers by pairing people up with serial killers.
