After a very long war, the leaders grew tired. Too long has there been no peace in the land.
Although a few leaders didn't want to end in peace, the soldiers refused to continue marching and they spent the year playing football with opposing members.

The Breeze was sad his refusal to draw didn't result in calamity among the main alliance, but he ran a very successful socialist country for many years in the North called "The Breezey North"

LadyeAeaea tried to step down from power in Edinburg after peace was made, but the British people loved the Dutch so much, they demanded she stayed.

Death Note who had united most of England managed to remain the leader even after his surrender because the Turkish leaders thought the English drank too much and didn't find them useful for their new empire.

Mist who also did not want to draw was very sad she couldn't make a comeback when she was well on her way. She instead took over the world several years later by infiltrating the Illuminati and forming a one world government many years later.

Animorph camping out in brest was surrounded by Mist's armies and about to be taken over when the war ended. He knew he was beaten in military, so he devoted all his remaining resources to a religious victory where he started a new religion worshiping animals which included the practice of morphing into animals. The religion became a big hit, and he surpassed the pope in popularity.

Bellaphent remained leader of central Europe for a long time, and imported elephants to roam it. After many years she exiled herself to Siberia because she missed the people there.

Shadoweh and Nyalite led a new era in Europe and revived the once great Ottoman empire making it great once again. They formed a classless utopia where everyone was equal and where the sun only sets every 24 hours because Europe is so small.

The winners of the game are Nyalite, Shadowehh, Bellaphent, Mist, DeathNote, TheBreeze, Animorpherv, LadyeAeaea

Congratulations! Each one of you deserved to make it to the end.

First off, I need to start with a shoutout to a player.
Gale Wing Srock literally saved the game. After my computer broke and there was a long break in the game, there was a period where I got sick and stressed out from finals and I really just needed a break from internet. But the game really couldn't keep its momentum if it had another break. Gale had previously told me if I ever need help running it to let him know, and I figured, "what the heck, maybe he can do it."
And boy did he. He did it much longer than he probably expected to, and yet he still did it without any complaining.
(I should also say he had some impressive game moments too. The stab of Axxle probably caught a lot of people by suprise, and he still managed to keep his reputation mostly intact from that first stab)

My second shoutouts will be to Nyalite and Shadoweh.
First, up until around 5 minutes before deadline, Drench was going to stab them and take out Shadoweh year 1 which would have made a very different game. But he didn't and they lead a very successful campaign. After year 1, they never came close to being in a bad position. Whenever something hypothetical would come up to prevent them, they dealt with it right away. The takeover of Austria was looking to be difficult, so they turned Bella to their side. The takeover of the Deathnote, Breeze, Ani group was going to be tough and they turn Mist to their side. They new the right people to turn to have control of the board for most of the game.

Final thoughts:
So yeah, this game was fun to mod, despite it being harder than I initially thought it would be with limited access to Jdip and computer stuff, but everyone was patient so thanks for that. I mainly wanted to test this chaos variant on here to see just how well it would work with the survivor and risk crowd. Some of the most fun games I've ever played were this chaos variant and I was hoping for people to get a taste here. I would say it worked quite well, with the early and midgame being very interesting and swingy. The late game battle ended up not being much of a battle when Mist went against Ani cementing the Turkish alliance's dominance, so the endgame may have been a little anticlimactic but everyone was still playing trying to get in on the draw which is fair enough.
Would this game type work again? Well, I think it might actually. Everyone would know what they're signing up for with an example game to see now so there wouldn't be as many civil disorders next game. (Fortunately there weren't too many civil disorders that changed the game. Serbia was probably the only one that had a noticeable effect.) Several people have told me they'd sign up for one if was run again so maybe in the future it would be fun to do one of these again. It would have to be anonymous now though, and I think there needs to be a live endgame once there are a certain amount of players. The live endgame would give a more epic finish I think.
But I think some simpler variants would be a better idea for the next while. :P And I wouldn't want to run the next one because I'd rather play it.

Time for some player rewards! (Nyalite and Shadoweh are disqualified because they lead the end game alliance and picking them would be too easy.)

Best Tactician: This reward goes to the player who made the best moves. They knew how to maneuver their armies or fleets to do what they wanted accomplished best:
Spoiler: Honourable Mention 1.
Image
Although MarioManiac never got too many units to use, he actually always made the optimal moves for his current situation.

Spoiler: Honourable Mention 2.
Image
The Breeze never made any tactical mistakes either. The units were always doing something that benefited him such as poking Austria, or conquering Scandinavia, or hurting the south. At the end, he set up a nice stalemate line that wasn't easily taken either.

Spoiler: Winner
Image
Yeah, if there was ever any doubt, year 2 takes it away. You may think he got lucky, but he had this exact thing planned from the start, down to getting TBO to move to Denmark to cutting support.
Image
Image
His moves were always max efficiency. If it wasn't for his alliance with Matt going a bit sour he definitely would have been a late game player.

Best Strategist: This involves having a good grip on the big picture. They knew what the best countries to work with were, when to stab, which alliances to join and who to join with, etc.
Spoiler: Honourable Mention 1.
Image
Co-founder of the Medagree alliance, ActionDan was definitely behind all the strategic actions of it at the start. He predicted Aronis's stab as well making a very ballsy move to bounce in Naples. Although his alliance didn't last until the end and he lost the coin flip with Aronis, a sub faction of his alliance went on to be the winning alliance so maybe he gets partial credit?

Spoiler: Honourable Mention 2.
Image
Pablito was actually very strategic in his gameplan. Although his relatively early demise due to some tactical oversight on PrivateI retreating to his home centre didn't let him stick around long, he had quite a lot planned out (down to when to time out his stab of the Medagree and join the central powers) and if he had lived, I think the alliance layout would have been quite different further down the game.

Spoiler: Honourable Mention 3.
Image
Bella gets this for her impressive survival around the Austria and Balkan regions which ended up being a pretty deadly location this game. She started with the Austria alliance when it was still strong enough to be practical (RIP Eagle) and knew when to change sides quick enough (RIP Mario).

Spoiler: Winner
Image
The King of the Brits Death Note. He was always quite aware of what was going on and at the start was basically the leader of the northern alliance. Being the leader didn't stop him from gaining all the land in the north west and having access to all the north. He knew when to time the stabs of Snakes, AcRv, Midget, etc. He correctly predicted how the endgame would shape up and tried to get the correct allies to deal with it in Breeze and Ani. He could have easily been the leader in the main endgame alliance.

Best Negotiator: They knew how to get what they wanted from their press.
Spoiler: Honourable Mention 1.
Image
This might seem like ancient history at this point, and LadyLambda had to leave before the first year, but holy cow she was good at uniting and organizing players when she was in.

Spoiler: Honourable Mention 2.
Image
Zulfy, a co-founder of the Medagree alliance. He was the guy who united and organized it (in a really clever and unique way I might add). He's responsible for uniting basically all of the south. Even the people against his alliance like Aronis didn't have anything against him. I think everyone was secretly sad when you died.

Spoiler: Winner
Image
Animorpherv! His endgame demise from Nyalite convincing Mist to betray him might make this seem like an odd pic, but he had a very strong early and midgame. He played a more lowkey negotiation game not playing as a big alliance leader and gaining enemies. He played a leader of a subfaction in an alliance which still gave him power but not making him an obvious threat. What clinched this pick for me and made him my winner pick at the start was when he negotiated getting Brest somehow from an alliance he wasn't a part of even. If he finished his takeout of Mist, it would have again been a very different endgame.

People's Choice: This reward goes to the people's favourite players.
Spoiler: We'll get right to this one
The Italians Action Dan and Zulfy.
Not much more needs to be said. The alliance they formed and how they ran it, down to it's end was my favourite part of the game.

Gone too soon reward: (Aka Siberian Champs)
Spoiler: Who is it
Basically everyone who died in the first year.
Axxle, Eagle, Cephrir, and DiamondSentinel all died too soon. But someone has to die in the initial bloodbath.

Too nice for the game reward:
Spoiler:
Randomidget, MattP, Radja. They are great people, but not built for warmongering

Darkhorse award
Spoiler:
Mist. She was making a huge comeback in the endgame and she was next to most of the free-to-claim land. If the game didn't get ended (which she wanted to keep going, sorry :( ) I think JDGA's dream about this game may have come true.

Thanks for playing everyone! It's been a pleasure.

Thanks for running the game, Flum. Sorry I had to bail, things got way too busy for me at the time. Wish I could have played this out. :)

Very fun game and I still stand by my suggestion of nominating this for some sort of award. I don't really pay attention to scummies so I don't know what the options are but this game was fun to play and exciting to watch. The commentary from the Mods (Gale included) made me laugh and I enjoyed reading.

It was a different type of game that required a good set of social and strategic skills which made it quite the challenge.

Thanks for modding!

I imagined a pretty epic endgame if I could have just convinced Ani to side with me. It was kind of what I wanted too.

Yeah I should have finished off Mist. Oh well! I knew I was going to get Best Negotiator, heh.

You totally should have. I apologize for what happened that year :P I went inactive to try and get you to let down your guard around me and it was just the year that you decided to attack me! I had to work with Nyalite and Shadoweh to have any hope of surviving, so sorry for turning the blame on you.

I don't know who else was not drawing, because initially, when I was in a bad spot, I was fine with the draw. But when I realized I was in a good position to take a lot of the territories, I withdrew my draw. I probably wouldn't have gotten too far without the Turks catching on, but hey Tel, I tried :P

Thank you so much Flum for hosting this, it was such a great game and I really hope to play another one like this soon!

Thank you for disqualifying me from all the rewards for being too awesome.

I spent the first chaotic years of this game alone in a dinghy in the Black Sea. Having the only fleet was a difficult position because it was powerful and let us mow through the neighbouring countries, but if I wanted to take anything myself, well it didn't work very well! If it were one Turkey that wouldn't have been a problem, just one way every girl being a country makes the game different.

My gameplan was pretty much just image, stay on the side of Truth and Justice and etc, work together with my Good Friend Comrade neighbours against the Dastardly Otherguy. This was kind of complicated by the main Medigree alliance being the ideal place for our boats to invade. So all our allies were tragically lost and we arrived just in time to avenge them and coincidentally hold all their land. Nya was pretty much doing the same thing, which made me kinda too terrified to turn on our allies anyways. Trieste would have looked so nice in green. :(

I had a lot of fun! 5/7 would Tank Survivor again

I don't know how we got away with taking over Monty's territories because he went inactive followed by Nya tellling Ani how DARE he attack the helpless inactive beside him, that was probably my favorite argument.

I'm sorry for flaking on this game last round. My pet bunny passed away very suddenly and i'm taking it rather hard. I do feel compelled to share a few things though.

I also wasn't drawing until the round when MS was down for the weekend. But I planned on not drawing going forward once I confirmed my suspicion mist was still not drawing as well. (you just seemed so hungry) I also was just going to take liverpool by myself Shadow. I was going to offer Venice to Bella so she could build a fleet in Ber so you'd have very few of my territories to take if you decided to betray me, while having yours wide open and having my alliance with Bella and Mist very solid. I was also totally going to demand you give Mist Marseille. My hope was to let Bella have stp, Sweden, I'd take Liverpool, london and Norway and either bella or mist could have denmark. By the way flumi, what happened to my fleet in por? they went mia at some point.

For a long time in this game my goal was simply to eliminate all the boys so we could be the Queens of europe. The only trouble was feeling bad about eliminating Ani and Radja. Luckily they both backstabbed us. I felt we needed MattyP once I knew we'd be going against Ani. I wish we could have done better by you when we had control. And then as luck would have it another girl replaced in!

Also Monty didn't submit and it messed up our plans, he literally came in to say he loved us while we took his territories. Mist never abandon the game or failed to help us on an agreed joint plan. I still might have felt bad had you actually gone and attacked deathnote Ani, you're betrayal there was what really confirmed you needed to go.

Considering you kept blocking me from leaving the sea I suspected you weren't going to let me have anything there. >>
I was positioning my fleets so I could break out by force. I didn't want to actually fight you. I probably should have on a few occasions.
But geez, we worked so well together and it was more fun to take over this way! I just didn't want to fight you.

You wanted to draw, so I was gonna let you sit while Bella, Mist, and I played the game.

Also yeah you'd break out but you were going to convoy this round and not move north. Next round you'd start funneling one ship through mao at a time and the game would be over before you could have any effect with them. And if you tried to backstab me you'd be slowly taking por and tunis while I easily capture serb and ankara. You'd then risk having me, Bella and Mist coming after you.

Thanks to everyone. This game has surprising issues for my additional needs but I had a tonne of fun and am happy to rule a good 1/8 of the world.

Breeze didn't want to end the game in hopes that you guys would start fighting.

I figured some others didn't want the game just because why quite when you are ahead? Personally, I was too apathetic to care once the tipping point of Ani getting backstabbed happen. I probably would have put some effort into the game if I saw a little more internal conflict.
