Well, it could have been worse.

Looks like I advance, hit you for 0 and gain a crescendo token back, advance to the edge and then gain another token. You advance 1 and don't hit me, but do give me a Petrification Counter.

Sound right?

Avoiding the hit for zero did save me a token, so given that I didnt Darkside Shot with a power boost that was the best outcome I could hope for.

Just covering my bases I think. At the very least I probably do some damage unless you have Pacifying Dodge up again (but that would get rid of it, so even then I could live with it maybe?)

And it looks like you don't have Pacifying Dodge. So you'll clearly go first. You don't move, but hit me for 3 which doesn't stun me. I don't have a crescendo token to lose. I then hit you for 7 and do stun you so that you won't give me a Petrification Counter, but I do gain a Crescendo Token.

Sound right?

Yeah.

I've probably been playing too straightforward this game. It's nowhere near over, but I think you have as big of an advantage as you can get against Adjenna.

I was able to predict about half of your moves after beat 1, so yeah. Some of the times I didn't care and was covering almost anything you'd play, but more than normal I played some beats against particular moves and got them right most of the time.

It's still felt really touch and go from my side; that last beat working makes a big difference.

I think I felt as if I was covering practically everything almost every single beat, but because of that what I was doing was obvious. Adjenna's definitely added to my list of people I want to use again at some point, because I did not do her justice this time.

Yeah, this game hasn't gone how I expected. You might still win, but I'm in a lot better position than I thought I'd be.

For what it's worth, you seem to like characters that make it hard to play against. It's possible that all the BattleCON characters are all like that, but your choices punish different things than I expect them to. It's a focus on throwing the other player out of their game perhaps? It's probably good for me to play against that sort of character to learn them, but it makes wrong choices that I make seem like they're going to hurt so much each game. If I wanted that I'd play Byron. Which I should totally do sometime, but that's not my point at all.

If there was a character that wasn't hard to play against, they'd be incredibly underpowered.

Then again, I can't exactly say that Demetras was a large part of the reason this game has been going like this, so...

Anyway, what I like in a character is options. If we were playing live, then maybe I'd be more interested in a simpler character, but here I don't like it when everything I can do has similar outcomes.

Yeah, I'm not saying hard to play against so much as taking other players out of their games. With Lixis characters that normally want to trade really get hurt. With Adjenna avoiding getting hit doesn't really matter as she just wants to get close. Kajia is another; how the movement goes effects her game much more than normal and players like Demitras who need to use that movement are going to have a lot of trouble against her because they can't play their normal game.

As opposed to a Hikaru or a Joal or a Clive. They can hurt you and are hard to play against, but playing your normal game against them doesn't inherently hurt you; you just have to worry about being outplayed.
