This is a sitechat game to be played the sunday evening (start in the afternoon for you on the other side of the big pond) before all hallows eve, this thread a signup/advertisement post. It also has:

the rules

Every person starts out with 10 six sided dice. Every phase, you can do one of 2 types of roll with this, which the mod rolls for you. A power up roll, perhaps granting you extra abilities, or an attack roll, to harm another player. You lose the dice you roll with.

Powerup roll:

Powerup rolls attempt to give you dice you can use later. You can spend a maximum of 5 dice on a powerup roll, and choose how you want to empower yourself. The mod determines how difficult this action is on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the hardest. The number to beat then is 3 times this difficulty. So suppose you were trying to learn how to conjure fire with your bare hands, that'd be pretty hard, so you'd want to invest quite a few dice. The mod then thinks: "that's about 4 out of 5". which would mean you need to hit 12 to succeed and learn how to create fire from nothing. The amount of dice you'd get from that investment is your roll added to the difficulty, divided by 5 (rounded up). So say you invested 3 dice and managed to throw exactly 12, that'd make 16/5= 4 dice gained, a net profit of 1 (and you are more awesome now, which affects powerup and attack roles where those powers apply for 1 per power). On a failure, nothing happens.

Attack roll:

Attack rolls attempt to harm or kill a fellow player. Same as with powerup rolls, 3 times the difficulty is the roll you want to hit. This triggers a Dodge THIS roll for your opponent. On a failure, nothing happens. A kill gives you all the dice of a player, harming makes you steal a part of them.

Dodge THIS roll:

Getting attacked makes it very simple. The mod rolls a die for you.

1: The attack hits, and you likely die (dice you owned go to the attacker), unless it really makes no sense to die from it, in which case you lose only part of your dice.
2: Close call, roll again, on a 1 or a 2 you die now, on a higher you dodge the attack.
3: You dodge the attack
4: You saw it coming from a mile away, you dodge the attack and retain your die.
5: You are in control of the situation, gain a die!
6: What is this fool thinking: you retalliate automatically with 3 dice, if you don't have those, you try anyway and die in a blaze of glory.

One extra rule: Should you ever hit 25 in a roll, people near you better beware, one would not want to be near when a superhero realizes what he's capable of... A Dodge THIS will be initiated for everybody!

Game specific rules:

Every phase, you go from the main street to trick or treat at the houses, 13 in total. Pick one, and stick with your choice. No peeking! When you join that room, call trick or treat, do a little dance, or whatever kids nowadays do!
In between phases you can talk in the main street, talk about grouping up perhaps.
The chat rooms are the numbers of the houses, so house1, house2 etc. Password is the same as the name of the rooms. Please do not click "load more messages". Those are not for you to read, and likewise, what you say should not be read who comes by next. Please close the room again after you leave.
While you are in those rooms, you can talk with the people there.
Do not quote messages from private communications.
Unless stated otherwise, you cannot have private communications with other players.
If you are dead, please stay dead. Feel free to read along and read what happened in the private chats, but please don't interact.

This thread is for questions, maybe shows of interest, etc. I am slightly terrified of how much work it will be during the game, and as such I'd love to get some help. Help in this case does not stop you from participating in the game (though your role will be a bit different), nor are you required to be a full mod. It'd be lovely if a couple of people could be player/mods.

well yes, and you do your actions there, so hopefully it'll be slightly more readable for the mods.
