Can't delete players' posts?

Problem: Modding a game, player made a double post, I can't delete it for them.

Question: Is this intentional? Is it going to be fixed or altered at any stage?

Disclaimer: I know I'm clutching at straws but I'd like to know, to satisfy my curiosity.

For right now, I recommend blanking the post with a

[ooc]Double post deleted by mod[/ooc]

replacement or something similar, and/or let a List Mod know and they can delete it for you.

No problem; it just gets very cluttered with double, triple, and on occasion, quadruple posts that all say exactly the same thing.
