Board slowing down?

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Thu Mar 11, 2004 4:48 am

Is it me, or is the board getting slower by the day? Sometimes I have to wait like half a minute before I'm redirected from the Forum Index to a Forum. I tried other web pages as well and they seemed to work fine.

It gets slow for me for chunks of time...usually for a half-hour or so at a time, with mid-morning (Central US) being the most common slow period.

There was a discussion about limited bandwidth in another one of these threads. Apparently, some of you people hit reload too often. I suspect Rite.

Also, if people use "all" a lot, that will increase bandwidth. If it's a problem, I can do some optimizations. I've been mostly dealing with functionality and not even considering performance. I know of at least two things I can do that should help a lot.

What about using "View posts since last visit"? I pretty much use that instead of the main forum page.

Not nearly as intensive.

I should figure out a better way to do the "view posts by" drop down...
