Problem with long posts

Hi, I'm having a problem with making long posts. I'm normally a wall-happy player, which makes this a very irritating problem.
The problem is that once my post reaches a length longer than the field that is available in the "box" where we write in, and as soon as the scrollbar within it is activated, I always get sent to the top of that box again. Even though I can keep typing, and even though I can see my text as long as I keep typing, as soon as I stop typing I fly back to the top of my reply.
I don't know how to better explain this problem, it's very odd and I was wondering if anyone has encountered this before and found a way to solve it.

I'm with chamber, that sounds like a browser quirk we've heard of before (if rarely). Do you have any ability to try a different browser?
Retired as of October 2014.

That browser is two versions old. Definitely upgrade!!! Or better yet, switch to Chrome.

Thank you! Sadly, I'm on a work computer (:p) and don't have the admin permission to upgrade :(
I guess I'll have to work more and try posting more from home
