Unable to Chat on mobile

Site Chat won't work on my phone. I select "Enable Chat" in preferences but when I go back to Preferences to check, it is not enabled. I have it enabled on my laptop and it works fine there. I have "Detect Mobile Phone" off, so why won't Chat work?

Because it looks like crap on mobile and takes up the entire screen. It was henceforth turned off for mobiles.

How does it know I'm on mobile though. Is the "Detect Mobile" thing just a lie? Is this site part of the NSA?

It detects mobile regardless, that button that says 'detect mobile' just decides if its feeding you the mobile theme automatically or not. It could be named better.

Maybe you could allow some user control over how enabled chat is when a player is mobile..?

so screen size is not a real issue in this context

The jquery that runs it doesn't work properly with touch screens for some reason, so you wouldn't even be able to minimize it.

I got it working by switching my browser to desktop mode. Touch screen works.
