In my most recent games (Newb 1971, 1972) I put my RVS vote on someone who already has a vote. Tends to encourage discussion more than just putting it on another person. Someone's gotta do it.

That's half-joking but man that's a bad reaction P1, especially for a setup like this where lynching townies gives us a revenge kill anyway as worst case scenario. If you're that confident in finding scum, you wouldn't react poorly to being pressured like that. You'd be confident in shooting acum with your revenge ability.

Amrun, your vote on me feels fabricated. I don't get the sense you were reading the game and understanding the context of the game at the time.

I think you just saw a post you could nitpick and went for it. You could've voted me for anything else, whether it be me putting a 2nd vote on RC so early, my interactions with RC, anything. Any of those would've been more reasonable.

To me, that vote gives me a sense that you're not really scumhunting here.

I'm kind of disappointed with how this has turned out, I'm hoping Karnage/RC can come in here post game and we can all have a discussion about what went wrong. For me at least, it's made the game a bit less fun.

I'm not leaving, though. Let's sort this shit out. I've already got 2 slots I'm rather confident in, so I think I'll be ready to make some moves very soon.

I think Lovebird's response doesn't really address the matter. RC at the time did say that if the slot didn't produce anything, he'd be looking to lynch there.

If you think someone is town, you probably don't want them to be aiming to lynch you.

The slot is being a bit weird at the moment. Weird doesn't necessarily mean scum, but I think there's a decent chance it could be in this situation.

Ah, yeah. I'm hoping it's something that can be discussed post-game. I think losing and disagreements/misplays are part of the game, so it's a bit disappointing to see.

As far as I'm concerned though, right now I think that slot is town.

I don't know the player, so I can't comment on their playstyle. However, the ISO is too passive for my liking.

As I said earlier, there's been a decent amount of readable content this game. I think with this setup in particular, it's especially important that people are taking as much as they can out of the interactions between slots, and I don't think that Lovebird has done that here.

Is it possible they really just have nothing to comment? Yeah, sure. But to me, it just comes off weird. It's as though she's not really taking scumhunting seriously, or at least trying to give opinions on anything.

The vote? Well, that's not really up to me to decide. If I don't see anything from the slot during this phase that I like though, I'm going to drive for that to be today's lynch.

There's other slots that could also use the attention, but I try to operate on a one slot at a time basis for the most part, and with the 10 days we've got left I'm confident I can sort this slot and decide what to do from there well before that time is up.

I wasn't really a fan of his reactions and I thought I made that pretty clear. I initially thought it made him likely to be scum too, actually. Until I checked other games and saw it was more in line with his regular play.

Right now I like Amrun and Gobble.

I don't like BB and Lovebird.

Amrun and Gobble have had relatively strong real-time interactions with other slots. Amrun is more of a tonal read, she feels genuine and seems like she's open to reevaluating slots after questioning and prodding in different areas.

I liked Gobble's slot by the end of RC replacing out. This one is weird, but I don't actually think they've (he, she, it?) done anything particularly townie. I feel like they've been getting shaded for minor things, and to me my instincts tell me that they're being setup for a mislynch. I think one of you (Cheeky) and Chk are behind it, and the other is town.

Lovebird and BB have done very little scumhunting and I feel like in this type of game, townies would prefer to be active, while scum would naturally want to be less aggressive and conflicting in order to avoid being vengekilled, instead baiting them into another townie. In regular games, aggressive scum can hide even when they've incorrectly lynched by at least assuming the guise of scumhunting. Here, if a scum pushes awkwardly and comes off as not genuine to the person they're lynching, they're probably likely to get vigged. I could see that being the case for Lovebird/BB.

Lovebird in particular not taking any stances on interactions between other slots pinged me. And on BB's end, it was them shading Gobble I believe, that turned my attention toward him.

Ideally yes. I think BBmolla is town because he seems to be pushing original thoughts. I want to vote Amrun but she isn’t here to pressure. I did not like the way she unvoted and gave a bunch of information for the unvote. She wanted everyone to know perfectly well why she unvoted which I think only someone with a lot to lose like The Godfather would do.

I also thought she was playing around RC rather than truly form a bond with him. I think that was because she just won two scum games with RC and he would intimately know how she plays. When she voted Chk after I said I would vig him anyway, I felt like it was a bus (Amrun is not afraid of bussing) to try to get town credit from Chk’s death.

I see where you're coming from here. I like the logic, mainly the stuff about Godfather being worried about having a bad vote and then feeling the need to overly explain why they removed it.

When she originally did that, I didn't think much of it since I had just come from a game where a townie had misread a couple of my posts and voted me based off of that. But in this style of game, that argument is more solid.

I haven't had any progression on your slot, I still like you. I just said I see the logic behind Gobble's argument, not that I 100% agree with it.

I also don't recall myself thinking you were a TR when everyone else did? From what I remember, no-one really spoke about your slot all that much. I thought I was the first to say it, but my memory is hazy on that.

In other news, I'm liking Pisskop as a replacement for Lovebird, so with that slot out of the way for now, BB is next. I don't agree with PK's assessment of Cheeky, but I do like the push on BB.

Well, yes. I wanted Lovebird lynched more than others. And now I want BB lynched more than others. I go for what is my optimal lynch. With plenty of time left, there's no reason for me to compromise and go with everyone elses pick.

I can disagree with why someone has a read on someone else, but still have the same read as them. I'm looking at different things than they are.

And I guess you're right about L-2 and L-1 being similar here but no scum would be brave enough to hammer BB if he's town here, since they'll be prime candidate for NK. I'm not worried about it.

Now if town hammered town here we'd probably lose, but a townie isn't going to rush into a hammer without assessing all their options. At least from my perspective.

It's more of a tonal thing. I haven't played with them before, but I don't really get a scum vibe from them.

A bit of activity helps, but I think it's more how they've gone about catching up with the game. It feels natural to me.

Maybe you and I have different playstyles, or maybe I'm just articulating poorly, but I get the feeling you're pushing for me to take a hard stance on the slot when I haven't really made up my mind yet. I like to prod between slots and see what I can find. I'm just not really liking BBMolla here even after their more recent posts, and right now they're the lynch I'd prefer.

Sometimes I pick out scum from the start and other times I fail miserably. Either way I try to stay flexible. Right now? I like PK more than BB, so that's where I'm looking to sort more atm.

I had some bad reads this game, save for the early Lovebird read and the Gobble townread. Wish there wasn't as many replace outs but it happens.
