Maybe players in the Box are just in some non-pure superposition of being dead and alive. What would be really fucked is if boxed players were able to cast votes in a tangled superposition of being invalid and valid, which would introduce some entanglment among the states of the boxed players.

Also make so that the whole game can happen to be in a non-pure superposition of being over and not after enough players are boxed. If it is anything like this there are probably some hidden rules to open the box before or when that happens.

I'm a very paranoid person, and bugspray in previous games hasn't used post numbers in VC's (i checked)

Day phases last for 168 hours (seven earth spinnies). During this time all players must vote on who to put into the box.

And i'll note that the above doesn't actually say that the deadline passes when we put X people into the box

Doctor: a bit scumlean. Before 19, his post are all greeting posts, rather genuine. Then he skipped the gm discussion part, and voted for me. Kind of sussy, but I'll keep an eye in drew.
Bianco: townlean. Honestly. He has made several experiments on the setup, and his reasoning is fine on voting me, really.
ceej: neutral. Several one liners, just like his previous games.
Ircher: Hi, thanks for the defend! A tl on you, but not enough for a town read currently (cause the lack of information on the day1 of day1 lol)
Jason: I like his 101, but his scumread on me, idk, is 'single reasoned'. Not something I like. Neutral for now.

It is shade bc it's completely out of context. It reads like I'm lurking. The missing context is that the game had opened literally less than one day ago, I slept 8 hours of that 21 hours and still posted 3 times. It wasn't possible to give any information bc the posts till that point are RVS and game mech theory.

Let me clear here in case I'm not: I'm not personally hurt or something. It always pings me when I see folks who post things that are worded in a misleading way. It's a good way to control the narrative as the game evolves.

I think you're reading too much into it. They made reads on the entire playerlist, what were they going to say about you other than "neutral, no info"?

At this point, it isn't clear that heip is assuming the mafia has more information about the mechanics, though they do admit that later. I'll get to that in a bit.
I don't think it's unreasonable to speculate that maf have more info though. They could have access to extra info through their roles, the sample PM could be incomplete, or they could be informed of things in the PT. There's a few possibilities there.
I'll give you that it's odd to assume the mafia would share that info.

Isn't it Common knowledge that scum have more information than the town? As we all know, the game is about 'uninformed majority' vs 'informed minority' and you just stopped us from getting more info.

I took a look at the link provided in this post. It does say "as the uninformed minority, you know more than anyone else in the game," so I can see how someone would misinterpret that if they didn't understand what "uninformed minority" meant in that context.
The fact that he even provided a link there pings me as towny. The reasoning, obviously, is wrong, but I can see how he got there and it looks genuine.

Scum would be more worried about sample PM's it feels like, because town at least have a PM that is usable for claiming and whatnot, it's the scum that would potentially be more concerned of not having a sample PM.

I'd probably be more organized and less on the fence about my reads. It's easier to do that when I'm informed and have a scum agenda.
The thing about mimicking my townplay is that there are tendencies I can't help having as town that are either difficult (like the transparency) or suboptimal (like lacking confidence in my reads and feeling like I have no clue what I'm doing) to fake when playing to a scum wincon, at least to the degree that I sometimes do those things as town. If I were going to mimic my townplay, I'd probably be looking at the games where I got UTRed and died N1, where I didn't just look like town!me but also like town in general. Not doing whatever the heck I'm doing now lol.
It is hard to say though when I'm not actually in that position. Also depends on who my buddy is and how they want to play it.

Interesting idea, but unlikely. It makes things weird and I'd assume scumsided if there's a town-aligned player who isn't included in the mafia wincon and doesn't need to die.
Not that I expect this game to be balanced or not weird.

I find it very hard to not read "when all [rolename] are dead" to mean "when all [players with rolename] are dead"

Meh, I suppose it can be used both ways.
I was just thinking from the perspective of "if we don't have PRs, then what do we have?" I guess the (probable) fact that the box isn't certain death.

getting everyone who was in box/goon to certify no redactions is pretty annoying tbh and i did not create a procedure to release a pt where ppl lose access to it over the game lol
