Uh, didn't realize this had started. Whoops.

I think getting into discussion of the board this early is futile. Primarily we win by lynching scum, so we should really try to lynch scum at this stage.

The optimal play for town is to win a victory by lynching the second scum on day 2.

I find it somewhat weird that those advocating a lynch anywhere are all in the corners, and those advocating corners only are on the sides.

I agree on the whole corner is better than sides, but eh, if we mislynch twice we've probably lost regardless of who we lynched. We'll probably lose by being outnumbered before we lose on tic-tac-toe.

If we hit the side - the only risk this blocks off is hitting the other side. Thus, hitting a side is okay if you think the entire other side is all town.

Mitly, if we lynch a side we only automatically lose if we lynch something on the other side, either a corner or otherwise.

Although yeah, I get what you're saying. I think maybe you're focusing too much on the board - we can't force a win via the board, only scum can.

If we mislynch the first two, unless it's certain positions we lose because scum will be able to force us to lynch a particular person on day 3, and we can't escape by lynching scum because they'll win by three in a row. Then again, we can force those positions with a corner and not a side... Eh. Whatever. I STILL think we should be lynching whichever is most likely to be scum.

I also don't understand the differing judgements on me/molla. He's scummy for not voting his scumread immediately, and I'm scummy for not voting on a wagon. Which is scummy, guys?
