GENERAL GAME RULES
(Borrowed and modified from StangerCoug's ruleset)
Remember to have fun and play to win, remember Wheaton's Law (that is, don't be a dick), and remember that the site's rules apply in this game, and in lines of communication related to it.

The below rules also apply, unless contradicted by a role PM or ruling:
  • VOTING
    : Votes must be in either bold tags or vote tags to count. Unvote tags are not required before voting someone else, but can help with clarity; unvote tags ARE, however, required to have your name moved to the "Not voting" line. A majority of votes is required to lynch, once such a majority is reached, the Day ends. You may also vote No Lynch; if the majority does so, the Day will end without a lynch.
  • PHASE LENGTH
    : Days last 14 real-life days, Nights last 3 real-life days. Extensions are possible but only in circumstances the Mod think are necessary to have them. One "bah!" post per dead player, regardless of death type (other than modkill, but don't do that).
  • PRODS
    : Prods go out after 72 hours of inactivity. If you do not respond to a prod within 48 hours or the Mod has to prod you a third time, the Mod may replace you.
  • MOD COLORS
    : The Mod's colors are

  • EXTRA
    : I am the Mod, so what I say goes. In exchange, if something needs my attention or if I screw up, PM me or bold the word "Mod" followed by what you want to tell me, and I'll do my best to either fix it, or get someone who can.

GAME-SPECIFIC RULES
  • This is a Greatest Idea Mafia game, which has 9 total players.
  • Once the go-ahead is given, the numbers 1-139 (as listed on the 10 March, 2014, 18:36 revision of the Greater Idea Mafia page) are shuffled, and three are given to each player. Each number represents an alignment and role.
  • You will receive a PM informing you of the three numbers and alignment/role combination "cards" you have been dealt.
  • Once the PM's go out, you will have 72 hours to decide one card to represent your alignment, and a second, different card to represent your role. The third card, if the game's setup is valid, will be publicly discarded.
  • The game will be considered valid if a majority of alignments selected are town, and at least one alignment selected is permanently anti-town. If an invalid setup is created, we will try again, starting with a new shuffle and deal.
  • The below is a sample Vanilla Townie PM.

Werewolf
: You win when all threats to the Werewolves have been eliminated and there is at least one Werewolf player alive, or if nothing can prevent such a scenario.
Alien
: You win when all threats to the Aliens have been eliminated and there is at least one Alien player alive, or if nothing can prevent such a scenario.
Survivor
: You win if the game ends, and you are alive.
Lyncher
: You win if (your target) is lynched with you on the wagon. If you are unsuccessful, you lose. If your result occurs before the game ends, you will be removed from the game, and it will continue as long as it would otherwise not end.
Serial Killer
: You win if all other players have been eliminated, or if nothing can prevent such a scenario.
Cult
: You win when all threats to the Cult have been eliminated and there is at least one Cult player alive, or if nothing can prevent such a scenario.

Now then. First off, I kind of... forgot to PM Maestro his role PM for a bit, for which I apologize. He asked me numerous questions after entering the game, which is very understandable after that.

The rule about having a setup with an interesting thing that can happen having no chance of happening as early as possible holds again. I would have loved how the Mason topic would have played out. Ah well!

Possibly a scumslip? There aren't any Werewolf One-Shot Dayvig cards, so that would have inspired a lot of suspicion had it been noted by players like I noted it. Then again, who knows?
