I like this game. I feel like I'm going to know who the scum is soon - reads are happening faster than is usual for me in a forum mafia game. That's a nice feeling.

The vote feels opportunistic to the extreme. Especially following on from what is a line of enquiry, surely an explanation is warranted before placing the vote down.

This pings for reasons I can't really articulate very well. one part defensive, one part nitpicky, one part vagueish accusation. Not feeling it.

I'm not actually 100% sure why the two are voting each other. Nexus is doing it because he didn't like the pressure vote (boo) and also cause he didnt like the feel of prozac's posts in terms of content (yay). Prozac is voting nexus because... he thinks nexus vote is opportunistic (boo) and he thinks he voted too quickly (boo).

I actually like this wagon more, I think.

I mean, I agree in a sense, it's page 5 - my first reads are only just solidifying. And yet, something about that post strikes me as incongruous - I mean, you were pushing somewhat hard on nexus, iirc?

I'm not thrilled with AV's vote, it's just feels very AVish to come in to a game where you've posted like 3 times and l-1 someone so I'm reticent to draw conclusions as a result.

This post was an experiment in seeing how many long words I could make look natural in one small post.

I'm not really feeling the inspie votes. Don't get any pings from his posts, felt his interaction with prozac was whatever. He hasn't done anything this game.

Game slowing down really just robbed it of the rhythm, I feel well out of it again ;_;

Observation: I like the hydra cause I like hearing the input of the other person. I don't know if this is just me being silly, but its those comments that are giving me strong town vibes.

Elmo, the comment you made was what prompted me to go look at his posts (also he was under pressure, but that was the direct trigger). Like you said, it's thin. Idk, I can't really picture the scum thought process that leads to the behaviour you're suggesting. OTOH, it makes sense as a coherent thought process in the post - he doesn't really have a reason to be voting poro, so he's just wagoning for the sake of wagoning, and wonders why when the wagon might be going somewhere the guy moves off.

I guess maybe the implication is that it makes sense that he's more focused on interactions involving himself as scum? Rather than any kind of suggestion of shifting suspicion?

Not hammering AV. Some interesting stuff though - weird that he should claim and not reveal what the coded post was about? If he says he can't, then whatever, can't force him. 169 is a clear breadcrumb, the clearest of the bunch - the rest are nowhere near as clear - but agreed with whoever mentioned that there's no particular reason masons can't be scum in this setup. (I do think it's very likely that he is an actual mason.) Regardless, I'm not happy hammering him. Still think prozac's a better lynch.

Like hito's entry into the game quite a bit. (I had forgotten about that hydra game!) The nexus case is kinda interesting I guess but really the "Swagger tell" thing just reads like nexus being nexus.

I think CDB is slipping into the pattern that happens just before he gives up on a game and has to be replaced.

Prozac is still scummy. Primate had a couple of posts that really pinged badly on reread. FenCes very town. CDB has a couple of very town pings on reread.

The initial CDB wagon and his reaction have me a bit skeptical, and CDB deffo gets flustered when wagoned as scum, so I was kinda interested. So I pushed him -

Well, it's irrational, but here's the thought process, more or less:

1) So I say something awkward/recognise that people think I said something awkward
2) Aware that if I say something else awkward, maybe it'll snowball and I'll get lynched (as has happened before)
3) Aware that nothing else is happening in this game right now so people are going to be particularly keen to get things going, looks like that's going to be on me
4) Because nothing else is happening in this game right now, there's not a lot about which I can think other than how people are thinking about me

I mean, ultimately I'm reasonably confident that after a bit of pressure people should realise that I'm town, and of course the game has to start somewhere, but right now the game's set up for me to be very self-conscious, so here I am. I guess this is what early votes are for? It's just more helpful to me when they poke at people whose alignments I don't already know.

I just like this post, I think. The thought process in the last paragraph in particular feels townie - focus on how it helps town.

I also like the way he develops his read on nexus. Felt natural.

FenCes - again, like I said, I really just like the double header giving feedback on internal discussions. The scumhunting somehow looks more genuine that way? Also the part where Fen mentioned she almost did something scummy - I liked that discussion.

Prozac is the scumlord - he gets the initial wagon. I assume this is all jokey votey cause seriously he's being voted for stats.

The issue is that I can't argue with statistics. It also doesn't represent a single game. So it immediately took me out of this game. I can joke about it, but it's a pretty nasty (and unintentional, I presume) way to make me start on the back foot, regardless of alignment. Post 10 shows my feelings in regards to that. After that the game took off, I didn't have a place in those conversations (or that much of an interest). The baseless vote was to get me involved. Which it did.

Find it really off that this makes him flustered - its a joke vote, right? Like, those stats votes weren't serious. Compared to the CDB wagon where it's getting serious and thus the fluster makes a bit of sense. It's also worse because that's not his initial reaction - instead he's just joking around still with random votes n shit - so why would the early wagon make him flustered? It feels incongruous. Similar feeling to the point I raised yesterday. (push nexus, then complain he doesn't have a read on the game - which is it buddy?)

Elmo vote is super off too that demands an explanation. But no one has demanded it. Hey, prozac, I demand you explain!

Ampersand is being helpful. I retract my earlier read on CDB as now he's acting self-concious in an honest way and that's good I guess. Nexus seems ballsy and happy so cdbs read is one i share a bit, though his is more grounded in realism.

I get the inspo thing, but I don't think he's been overly town, but then not overly scum either. He's pretty honest so I'd lean town if forced to it, but there's not much there.

re: poro the stats thing was obvious guff so eh, there's nothing in that unless I'm missing something. I think he's been mostly town but I don't have much faith in that read because I've put no time into it.

I just hate this post. The first sentence is a massive ping for me because that describes basically any game I am scum - appreciate it may be different for different players.

I'm not sure what to make of this. On the one hand I hate that he? has nexus as a town read in one post and not even a minute later expresses paranoia on nexus with absolutely no indication why. On the other hand, I know how contradictory I can be when my head and gut are fighting, but I'm not seeing an indication of this fight here, so I don't know why there's a turn around in less than a minute.

If you like CDB, do you not trust his read on nexus?

For point 1, that was deliberate - I thought read him as town, but didn't trust my own read.

And on CDB - no, not espcially. Filtering cdb's read through my own read on cdb doesn't leave an awful lot of certainty. Like, first I have to think cdb is town, then I have to weight that he could be town and wrong, then I have to triangulate his own certainty (which seems high but, you never really know what's going on in someone's head) and only then can you convert that into a read strength for yourself.

Nexus quite obviously would vote Ampersand, given that who is who he was voting.

Elmo seems like a poor compromise - his inactivity is totally not alignment indicative.

I kinda like lynching lurkers when I don't have strong scumreads. At least you're not losing a VALUABLE player, right? And if you have a lot of townreads and a lot of nullreads chances are the nullreads are scum, so the lurkers as good a lynch as any.

That was the thinking behind the vote.
