We are all claiming who we are voting in advance since scum cannot vote.

With 8 players lets say Egg flips scum. (numbers are town S is scum)
A: 1 2 3 4
B: 5 6 7 S

Player A would become the judge and that means that we know everyone voting player A is conf town and there is 1 scum voting player B.

Considering Egg is literally confirmed scum...this is a viable strategy.

I intend to vote myself this time since I'm going to be confirmed town.

Let me explain.

Egg claimed to vote Lowell both times.
When he retracted his claim, he said he voted me the second time.
The implication there is that he voted Lowell the first time.
The problem is...

We had 7 town voters.
We had a Ranger-Jeanne tie. The possible ties are 2-2 or 3-3. If it was 3-3, with me voting Lowell, Egg would not possibly have been able to vote Lowell. If it was 2-2, then if Egg voted Lowell, it would have been a three-way tie, not a two-way. Ergo, by claiming Lowell as his first, when I also voted Lowell first, he's absolutely confirmed scum and I'm town.

Also you aren't allowed to vote yourself.

I don't see that as a listed rule.

I for one am adding it because of the hilarity factor alone. Plus, while it contained a broken mechanic and scum did scumclaim, we still did a good job of breaking the game in the first place.
