BEHAVIORAL RULES

  • Play nice. I don't mind you guys using bad language, but don't direct them to the other players. Insult the playstyle, not the player.
  • Spoilered, bolded text
    using various colors
    is for moderation.
    Do not use it or anything close to it.
  • Do not use provable randomization in this game. Saying that you rolled a dice is fine, using dice tag is not.
  • If you break any of these rules, I will punish you at my will. This can range from a simple warning to a modkill/force-replace.
  • If I feel like it, I always have a right to add/modify the rules. If I do, I will fully explain the reason behind such action.
  • Remember that at its core,
    Mafia is a
    game
    . Play to win, but have fun too!


TECHNICAL RULES


  • You control your vote through the
    bold
    or VOTE: vote-and-UNVOTE: unvote tags. An unvote is not required to change your vote. Also, if it looks like a vote, I will count it. No tricking me!
  • For insurance that your vote/unvote will be seen, please put it on its own line. Though I use Ctrl+F, I will not be held responsible if a vote hidden within other text goes unseen.
  • Lynch happens when half of the players + 1 vote the same person. Once lynch happens, the lynchee and the living players may talk in "Twilight" until I arrive and post the flip.
  • If the deadline is over before majority hits, the day will end with No Lynch.
  • If you do not submit a night action, it will count as No Action.
  • If you are lynched or killed, you may post one information-less "bah" post during the following Day phase.


ACTIVITY RULES


  • Deadline for each
    day is 7 real days
    , and deadline for each
    night is 1 real day/24 real hours
    .
  • If I have to extend the deadline, I will. If I do, I will post it in the thread.
  • 48 real hours without a post means I will prod you. I will start looking for a replacement if you do not pick up the prod within 24 hours or if it is your 3rd prod.
  • If you will be on Vacation/Limited Access, please tell me beforehand; either post it in the thread, or PM it to me.


SETUP-SPECIFIC RULES


  • 2 Aliens
    have access to daytalk, a shared nightkill ("kill"), and individual non-consecutive nightkills ("kill2").
  • 1 Laser Cannon
    is revealed at game start, and has a daily dayvig ("kill") power that must be posted in thread to be used.
  • 6 Bunkers
    have 3 shots each to doctor ("protect") a player at night.
  • The Laser Cannon's dayvig resets the votecount, but does not extend the deadline. It also cannot be used if a lynch has already been achieved for the day.
  • Bunkers cannot protect themselves at night (for players who are used to the original version of this setup).


  • The Invasion (Aliens)
    wins when either:

    • The Laser Cannon is eliminated.

      OR



    • All Bunkers are eliminated.

  • Earth (Laser Cannon and Bunkers)
    wins when the Invasion is eliminated.

Whoops, wrong game...

First thing I want to say having pondered this setup a bit is that during the day we should elect three unique players every day to use their doctors on me. Everyone else can do as they wish, but three different players should be on me every night until/unless we hit an alien. That's as far as I've gotten so far with plans. Anyone object to this? Anyone wish to expand?

Ah, that's a good point. I mean, I could retort with the fact that the Aliens don't know whether or not another doctor may take the initiative to protect someone that is protecting me, but I understand your point nonetheless.

Ultimately though, it seems prudent, especially on D1/N1, that we have at least a player or two that is willing to say they will protect me unequivocally, yeah? I mean, the thought process behind this is that I wouldn't want too many doctors to waste a protection on me redundantly.

Also, in regards to my shot, I'm going to take everything said into consideration, but ultimately the shot will be at my discretion. Just putting it out there that if someone suggests "voting" for how I use my shot, I am going to be reluctant to accept that. I will gladly take it into account when making a decision, but in all likelihood I'm not going to be giving this power up the the whim of the majority.

I am so pumped for this game for some reason. Not even the fact that I'm the laser cannon (truth be told, I wanted to be an alien, lol), but it just feels so cool. I really like the playerlist and the flavor.

A + B protect Laser
C + D have 75% chance to protect A + B
E + F have 50% chance to protect C + D
G + H have 25% chance to protect E + F

Something like this is what I'm thinking^ I was just gonna doctrain originally but I didn't know town lost if Laser Cannon dies so meh.

Do we get two lynches essentially or is there only laser cannon and then night time?

I think if we can try to direct the alien kills it'll work in our favor. If we basically give a chance that one of the townier doctors will be protected but leave the untowniest unprotected, we might be able to direct the kills.

Great.

So unless we fuck up majorly and somehow read both scum as towniest, we should be good sticking two of the towniest players on the laser cannon.

We should doc chain backwards from them percentage wise as I showed, and leave the scummiest players unprotected hopefully meaning scum will go the easy route instead of risking the hard route and losing due to not killing people.
