I'll run it another time if there is demand for it. I was looking forward to see the doppleganger in action, and was kind of disappointed it was in the middle.

Any suggestions regarding the roles? In some ways I think it sucks for the villagers, as you don't get as much to play off of, but I think without villagers it makes it harder for the werewolf to blend.

Now that it's over, I have to say, being able to lynch two players makes it super hard for scum to win.

Also, now that it's over and I'm not trying to convince town of anything, the double lynch was totally the correct play and there's basically no real risk in it if you build the vote right. There's nothing I could do there except hope to make one person doubt the plan, or convince town to split on somebody else.

I shouldn't have claimed switching Alex, but Guilty was right. I was trying to preemptively deal with town suspecting Alex, because I knew it was going to happen eventually. I didn't consider the case in which Alex comes out, though. I should have. It was my mistake, not his.

I'm basically certain that Alex believed I was Troublemaker. The second he came out I realized I had probably lost the game for us.

I have only played online. From Thesp's original game:

The player with the most votes (and more than one vote) dies. If multiple players tie for the most votes, all tied players die. If no one receives more than one vote, no one dies. (There are some situations and win conditions that may call for this.)

I don't know what you mean by that. Like, I just shouldn't have claimed switching Alex. I did such a great job convincing the town that Alex believed me, and that put him in a position where he had to blow up my game plan by coming out.

Like, I'm so proud of my game before claiming I switched Alex. Reclaiming was totally a fair play, put I shouldn't have done that so that I could make Alex one of my targets.

I shouldn't have been a less believable Troublemaker. I just shouldn't have claimed to switch Alex.

vettrock has it right according to the traditional game. The problem is that in the traditional game, a day phase lasts ten minutes tops. That's not enough time to coordinate a foolproof vote split, so the tie vote thing is in their mostly for simplicities sake, not strategic sake.

I'm not mod, so take this with a grain of salt, but I have a suggestion: Copy the way Survivor does it

If two or more players are tied for the most votes (with at least two votes each), all players who are not involved in that tie revote, and can only vote for the players who are tied.

For example, in this situation, all players other than GL and Alexcellent revote, and may only vote for GL or Alexcellent.

I don't know how much experience everyone has with the party game, but that's basically what Troublemakers do. That's basically what every role does. You have to lie a lot in the game to play it right.

It keeps town guessing in case you find out you were turned into scum, and it sometimes gets information out of scum that you might have been unable to acquire otherwise.

I'm just saying that I would have done the same kind of thing if I was actually the Troublemaker. Would have done it with Seer, too. I would lie about seeing the Robber in the center to convince the Robber to speak soon, and tell him to prove his role by telling me who he robbed, and what that player's role was. That way we can be sure he actually robbed town.
