Titus is an example of someone who people have criticized in the past but have changed their play to suit the style of this forum more.

I know pretty much nothing about this sites meta or even how to play the game right. I like the site, though it is a bit hard core. I'm still trying to improve my game when not playing. I have no idea what kind of player I am going to turn into. I just hope I don't get banned before I even find my playstyle. :?

There's not a lot wrong with your logic, I think what turns people off is your hyper posting play style. Town players will want a relatively equal amount of posting from all players so they can feel like everyone is giving an equal amount of input. If one player posts a lot more than everyone else, then it gives scum players a chance to lurk.

Yes, I can see that.
I really need to learn to slow down and really think things through
. In a site like this where IIOA is a big deal not to do, I can definitely see why people have a problem with me. I have found that on this site that most the time its not best to skip steps of logic, but rather
slow down to actually see what one observes so that accurate and concrete conclusions can be made
. It is a matter of taking what you know for sure and being able to peg scum this way or catch town to make a mistake that can get them killed. I believe this is the reason I was lynched; not because I posted too much, not because it was best for town, not because its best for mafia, but because I made fundamental mistakes that cannot be ignored. In short, my weak play is what got me lynched day 1.
I will learn from this experience and move forward.
I'm glad you let me play.

IDK, I just can't see town motivation in CDBs push to lynch me. It seems like his whole premise that my claim was not true was based on a huge assumption that every flavor character has to be a character in the show. I feel it is that because of the roles he has seen in the game is the reason he feels like my claim being BS is a good argument. The weird part is that there was enough people who agreed with him. Now I don't know if it was sorta half WIFOM accusations or not, but that is what it looks like from my perspective.

I believe there are few reasons to lie as Town, so if HI is Town, I can't see her gambit being town motivated. I mean I can understand that she did it for my lynch and that is mostly all I see the reason for it. She was sure that lynching me was the correct move. I believe Town gambits CAN be beneficial to bring clarity on someones alignment or role, BUT if you guess wrong, or something goes wrong with the plan, it can really backfire. So if she is Town and he gets himself lynched then they basically share some responsibility for one Town lynch and Pretty much bears the full responsibility for her own if her gambit is a focal point for their own lynch.

I feel the less chaos and complexity there is for town to sort through, especially in a setup that is closed like this, the easier it is for Town to lynch the right people. It could just be my opinion on how to play that playing a transparent game as town is what makes it easier for Town to sort through all the roles that are possible in a game like this and I very well could be wrong about this. Perhaps I am just not at the experience level yet to try a Town gambit like the one HI did. It is a very risky strategy and must be handled with extreme care so it can serve its purpose. The reason I feel a transparent, honest playstyle as Town is a good idea is because if you do do a gambit like that and it doesn't pay off, you are in a bad way with your credibility. That's a reason its risky IMO. Reading on the wiki on who you want to investigate as a cop and the answer being who you think is the strongest player in so many words, not who is Null, not who you think is suspicious to get a confirm, it was clear that you want to give as much credibility to that strong player as town, or get a confirmed scum result on that strong player, who, iirc about the theory, that a strong player will more often than not on average play further into the game, gives much reason for that person to be credible. HI has now taken away that credibility from themselves, possibly caused a cop in the game to investigate her for FoS that the cop may have on her and possible opened up the possibility for lynch on her. I can however see her play as town be valid if she is a weakened town role like the one similar to the claims we have seen in the game.

Those are some of my thoughts on those two who were pushing for my lynch.

I really should have said it more, but Lickety, your play nearing the end of the day was just fine, I think by then you had toned down some of the more extreme things that people really didn't like, but by then everyone was on your ass anyways.

What Hostile did is something I would normally vote a player for, but they did something similar (not the same though, they didn't lie that time), so I'm still deciding whether I think they're scum or not. I've seen well-meaning town lie plenty.

And, well.. obviously my scumhunting needs work to. Or I wouldn't have killed myself just now. Yikes, this is gonna be ridiculously tight for town... 4 PRs dead from one mislynch (though my death was not town's fault).

I actually meant to say '4 town dead', not PRs, little mistype there

But I AM assuming that all night deaths will be town. Only one night to go, and since no scum died N1, I assumed they weren't going to die N2 either. I guess that was a bit presumptuous of me, huh?

Is it really that easy to alt-slip? Monkey, you said that those posts would be deleted, right? I mean, he's been doing that so much I can't believe he hasn't started being more careful, and its annoying at this point that he doesn't seem to care that he's slipping.

Im incredibly ready for Monkey to start removing the pisskop posts, like he said he would before the day ended. I'm pretty sure Senator is doing that on purpose.

Scum's kills haven't been particularly great so far.

Even if they thought Saint was scum and I was a better PR... still derp shots.

I still think that CDB is totes scum. He said nothing pretty much about why if I'm town I should still be lynch and his sole focus was because he thought my claim was BS and I'm just not buying that. If there is something I am missing, please point it out to me...

Because Gumball was sus to me. I was planning on crumbing my hiding before the night, but I didn't get a chance to, the hammer went down and night started before I had a chance to post, ha-ha. I didn't crumb CDB, I was just town reading him in a post that I didn't realize would be my last. Also, by that post, I had unvoted you, LQ, and so I thought you were town. I then said, if I was right about the LQ flip, CDB would be town for me. Evidently nobody noticed that either. Gahh, I'm so dissatisfied with that lost post I should have been online sooonerrrrr
