Also I've just realized that this setup is really interesting because you need to not just balance pretending not to have knowledge of your scumpartner, but you also need to pretend to have no knowledge of who are Chosen Townies

We should definitely prevent the old timers from becoming Chosen Townies.
I haven't been here long (at all), so I think both choices should be up to you.

Only thing is I haven't played with any of the experienced players ('xcept Vedith, but hey, ongoing games).

Shadow REALLY shouldn't have been lynched and I don't forsee us ML them esp considering that this is *not* a Newbie

Vedith can be an easy mislynch though. Played a match with Vedith and s/he plays to casual. People seem to think casual meas scum.

Fair enough, and I agree with you. Tenshi would be my second choice though.
