Surprised I didn't see a thread already.

Discuss your islands, ask questions, share neat designs, post your island's turnip/stalk market prices, arrange meetups, y'all get the idea. I'll try to update the OP with various resources and friend codes and such.

If anyone's skipping ahead of the current date via time-travel by changing the system date (I'm not, but to each their own), use reasonable judgment for spoiler tagging certain events or occurrences (even though most holiday stuff will be update-based).

I had one last night spawn with pretty much all emperor butterflies bug-wise, that was a nice income boost.

sharing the island with my SO who's the main resident so I'm slightly behind but at least we're splitting time fairly evenly. upside to this includes having two golden spots every day.

once I get some trees growin' and other stuff arranged I do have a ~secret thing~ I'm working on for whenever I have visitors.

tracing the Shrek Jesus from a palette posted on reddit took an hour or two cuz it was one of the first things I did, I'd say I spent another 2-3 on designs between working on the album art (better pic from a few weeks ago) and two-tile face of the lead singer from the music video after importing and fixing them up (and the face could use improvement tbh)

then it's just tiki torches, bamboo and paper lanterns, fragrance sticks, a holy water fountain, preceded by graveyard fencing and caution/wet floor signs

and yes I've lost my damn mind

don't mean to spam the thread but LoadingReadyRun's Animal Crossing crew and ~10k viewers came over to my island today.

depends. unless your pattern is good for this week (see OP), you'll probably need to travel. turnip exchange will have various islands and queues, if I have to go there I aim for 1-2 Nook tickets per trip, or bell fee (because after weeks of turnips bells are easier to get than tickets), or tips optional (usually bring something cool, like a flower crown/wreath/seasonal DIY craft).

I think 680 or so is the highest possible sell price. buy price is 90-110. 400 or so is my minimum to aim for when selling. but also I have a discord I can tap that consistently gets ~500 give or take 50 each week, so, bias

Anyone actually know how to force a villager out? One of ours is being real annoying and we have three lazy types so why should I keep this third one?

once a villager moves, every ~15 days you'll get a prompt. if they stay, it'll come back 5 days later. you can save scum by quitting out during dialogue to make that cooldown time shorter. it seems to prioritize oldest and highest friendship villagers, unless their house is being moves or their bday was recently. more in the twitter thread linked in the article. otherwise, amiibo cards (on the third scan and fetch quest) will force out your villager of choice.

I've taken a break but the SO still plays a bit. need to upload the dream address for that island (got a second Switch this year and my island is way less developed :P)
