OK, so I threw every game on my placement matches by playing Zilean Support trying to get into low bronze so I can experience the climb and play with my other Bronze5 friends

Manage to go 4-6 by not doing anything

Got placed into S4.

Now I wished I actually tried.

Holy shit silver 4 is still soo nooby. Played a game where twitch called mid, me as zyra and Morgana ended up playing bot (and owning hard).
Had a game as Sion top where I reached 100cs while the malphite was still at 40.
Also had a game where I just picked Malphite support in a team with Yasuo, Amumu, Pantheon and Twitch and we wombo'd the game before 30min.
And I managed to solo carry as Malzahar mid when top and bot fed insanely, but since we had vayne and they didn't run any exhaust/ignite I just stalled till 50mins when Vayne finally had items.

Ranked is surprisingly more fun then I had imagined. Aside from the ocassional feeder and flamer, they're actual fun games with fun people

Nope, already in my promo's for S3. Maybe it's the difference in attitude's? I tend to have fun with the team, congratulate them if they make a kill or make a good play, and generally try to direct the team if they are capable of taking leads. Also already had 2 invites to duo with people from my former teams. I'm having fun.

S4 is not that impressive though. Not lost a lane yet since being placed there. Even when I get directly countered.

Thats true, but Malzahar alone cant push towers fast and since I dont want to rely on my jungle to show up. I rather roam bot/top, make a play there, then push a tower or a drag. That way, it opens that lane up to help me push mid

I think it's personal preference. I usually go 9 utility to get the longer lasting buff, movespeed and mregen. The biscuit is luxury stats, honestly.

I used to make the mistake in the defensive tree though. I had not seen it was

I had a 55 minute game yesterday trying to get a friend of mine out of bronze 5. Apparantly grouping up there means pushing the lanes up to nexus turrets solo. After 15 minutes they finally understood and then it was finally over. But it was fun seeing Twitch position as a tank and fiddle ulting minions, missing the champions by a full screen

Silver 1 is like being the smartest kid in the slow class. Also it's a pretty hard counter lane if he doesn't kill you at level 3, which i'm gonna have to assume he didn't.

He did actually. I misscalculated the range of Amumu's Q. He hit me with the tip and then I was pretty much dead right then and there. But he still played the lane all scared, which is the wrong idea if you're playing an assassin.
You're right about the first though. My friend who managed to get 60cs as Ashe after 20 minutes got placed into Silver I, whereas I got placed Silver III. I don't care though because everytime I bother to play ranked now (usually, to get rid of that annoying inactivity in ranked message) I win and can usually carry with something like Malzahar. But I enjoy playing all champs which is a bad idea in ranked because people don't appreciate it if you take something like Poppy top.

Just played ranked again after a long break and got both my accounts to promotions towards Silver II. Had a game where we built a comp around Yasuo with Vi and Malphite, and Yasuo feeds like a motherfucker and becomes toxic and starts trolling, going solo all the time. Then we still win because of a good Trist.
Also had two games as Malz where I went 6/0/5 and 8/1/6. Akali cried.

Not sure if I wanna tryhard to gold. I just get bored so quickly playing ranked because I want to win there as oppposed to normals, where I just play fun stuff.

If you get zhonya as a third item (after boots), you'll be really vulnerable midgame. Personally I either rush Dfg when ahead or Zhonya when even or behind, just so whatever happens, he's either dead or you'll get a chance to get your cooldowns back

Renekton is a lane bully with a built in dash, sustain and stun to dish out serious damage. Once he's out of laning phase though he does little of use, he's avarage at splitpushing and teamfighting.

Nautilus will do what he always does and stays the same the entire way through: provide a disrupting tank and provide CC.

I think Kayle jungle didnt fall off in the new jungle as much as other champs have. She still packs a lot of damage and while her range is an issue in solo lanes, mainly mid, she does really well jungle, and she scales really well into lategame compared to most junglers. Next to that, she packs a lot of utility next to her damage you can build on her.

Kayle is more forgiving because she packs a heal in her kit. And if you do her runes right as marks/arm seals/ap glyphs/quints, she'll tear through the jungle quite well.

Ring on ww top is acceptable at best. A single Q still takes away around a quarter/third of your mana away and if you're in a lane where you need to trade a lit, ww will have a hard time keeping up despite the inbuilt sustain he has.

I honestly don't play to get better. It's the reason I don't play ranked a whole lot. I think the game in general is cool and fun and I just wanna enjoy myself playing almost all champions in all roles. I'm okay with losing a few then winning again, because I play champs in crazy roles. But if I'm facing like a plat 5 Zed that's tryharding on kills, while I'm playing something random, it's just a bit meh for me. And I'll deal with that in my own way but having these games 10 times in a row is just demotivating.

That game that I finally won was against someone who is 6 divisions higher then me (I'm S2, he's G1) and I honestly don't mind that because I'm confident in my abilities to at least go even or not feed in these situations, and then improve from there. But it isn't really my goal to eventually be Diamond 1. So unlike some people, I actually do enjoy smashing a Bronze 5 if I'm facing one? I know it's lame but if I get to play like Galio top and manage to carry I still think it's as fun as going even against a G1/

Probably not. You could attempt to set up vision and go for picks, but since you had an akali on the opposite team as well, you can't really build full armor either, although finishing SV and not just stick with cowl and build another armor item (thormail/randuins) might have been better. It wouldn't help though because Morde's build is absolute shit, and Nasus can't reach their backline easily so Jinx has free play.

doesn't seem that good to build tear /ibg to be honest. You should ult the bruisers, and do percent damage against them in your inbuilt kit (w). With a blue build, you sacrefice a lot of power because stacking tear on varus seems very hard because of long cooldowns, so it will only reliably stack when built into mune. Next to that, varua has no inbuilt on hit ability to make ibg effective since most bruisers run mercs anyway. You seem better off just building bf esque items

I've seen it picked a couple of times and if he has an okay lane phase he's a monster. Good engage which you can combo with good cc and his automatic health scaling makes his options in items quite large. The range toplane meta isn't that great for him, sadly. But post 6 he can roam so well

Oh my god some games make me so angry. I play MF ADC, my support picks teemo and refuses to ward. We're against Cait/Leona, and I win lane alone despite being 4 man ganked at one point. Then our jungle Trundle, Top Nasus and me proceed to push pressure on towers where our random Syndra and Teemo continue to feed. Then we manage to pick up a free baron, then we fight in their base, our Nasus refuses to come help during the fight because he's pushing a tower, we lose the fight, he then decides to walk in and gets killed. Then Syndra feeds again, Trundle starts slapping inhibitors while the enemy team overruns us and kills our base.

That doesn't seem all that bad. Warrior enchantment into full tank after seems like a good Renekton build out of the jungle. Thing is, lane Renekton already has issues being relevant going into mid-lategame, so how is jungle Renekton even going to be relevant at any point in the game. His ganks don't seem that strong, and farming up doesn't really feel like a good idea either. Fight the other jungler seems fine, but then you need your team to be attentive if one of the solo laners roam to help

Anyway, regarding build. Don't get the FH (Let Morg build that, Renek doesn't need CDR), but the rest of the build seems fine.

Our team got stomped yesterday by a Katarina/Akali/Thresh/Hecarim/Gangplank comp. Then at 40 and 45 mins, I managed to hold them off as Mid Zilean because of ult/zhonya's at the nexus turrets , and when we aced them and won the game with a gold deficit. That feels good.

Also, running around the map as Yorick with Muramana/Trinity and getting a quadra over 5 minutes was amazing. I had forgotten Yorick was so broken

and yes, don't bother roaming until you have the enemy tower down, and tax other lanes/wraith camp as much as possible if you can. The further you can get ahead the better. And always pay attention for ult opportunities.

Once you're a bit ahead, always contest dragons. That's a goldmine for kills, even when you die yourself

In bronze, its best to just stomp toplane with champs like Darius, Garen, Teemo or Yorick.

High Silver/low Gold its better to just learn champs like Hecarim or Malphite and tp bot when you can. Cheese usually doesn't work there anymore

But yeah, Fiora works wonders as well because she can almost duel everyone 1v1. Irelia takes some practice, as does Jax. And Wukong needs some mana regen runes to work top to bully someone out

Sion dying to a camp, then killing it with passive, getting lvl2 and an extra couple potions then teleporting to lane is a good Sion start
