Only problem with fiora is you really got to pick her after other players. If the other player picks malphite or someone similar, you literally cannot do anything in lane.

Question: as often as this DOESN'T normally happen in competitive / non-smurf play, how late would you guys say is the absolute latest you'd stay in-lane if you have absolutely no reason to back but and increasingly large pile of Gold with which to buy shit?

Based on the champion Gold graph, I had 3.9k sometime around 11 minutes, which was my first back for IG and Swifts.

Should I have stayed longer if I could keep having fun stomping lane or should I have backed earlier?

usually if I'm stomping I'll go back when it seems the tides are becoming even. Then I come back and stomp with better items than opponent and win again.

Basically it depends on how well your opponent is catching up. If he keeps having to go back and buy health pots, you prob dont need to back

Also, nautilus isn't that great right now because of how much weight has gone into more mobile, more flexible champions. Why pick naut when you can go kz / j4 / etc who all have better damage, more mobility, better dueling in the jungle, and still respectable/good ganking capabilities?

I mean, nautilus can't really be built damage if you need to snowball that way. Meanwhile, champs like j4 / kz can build damage items or build tankiness and be really good

As someone in low silver elo, I agree that nasus is a beast. There are lots of bad ones, but assuming you can properly farm with him, he can be an unctrollable/unkillable/super damaging bitch. If you're against him with a team that isn't suited to ending the game fast (I.e, Ziggs), its gonna be mighty hard to win.

Nasus doesnt actually lose many lanes. Championselect.com says pantheon is his number one counter, but nasus after 5/10 minutes absolutely crushes pantheon. his only counters are truedamage/ non mana users that are super aggressive

I don't see the point of Nashor's. The attack speed doesn't do much unless you go ham to a silly extent, and the extra scaling on Q is miniscule.

Liandries similarly not crazy about. I guess it could be nice with his ult, though.

you're not gonna get punished for crashing once, twice, or even thrice in a single day.
if you crash every day you'll be punished, as you should be, for ruining a game for nine people every day without bothering to fix the issue.
entering games when you know you have a problem with crashing halfway through makes you no less of an asshole than those that deliberately leave halfway through. you're still entering the game with the knowledge that there's a decent chance of you ruining it for everyone else by dc'ing.

Tides with deathcap and ap items at that point just does more damage though with tides. See previous maths. And if you already have a hat in your build it just passes on to the next item that does multiply with hat/other ap for it's damage which will be better in comparison to liandry's.

Don't get distracted by the fancy burn animation That's for other champions, not scaling lategame ap carries.

I've always gotten an S+ in games where I scored a quadra/penta, or multiple triples without exception

I think after that it looks at damage dealt to champions, and KDA? maybe? in that order or something

#1 on damage dealt to champions by a hefty margin (#2 is't even 2/3rds of your total damage) nets you S flat, I think

having a perfect KDA doesn't automatically get you an S though which sucks big time

scoring system is basically designed to say 'fuck you if you aren't 12/0/0 master yi'

Not in lane it wouldn't be. Kassadin relies heavily on a roa rush, and doesn't even NEED lich bane to work properly. So, rushing challenging smite + runeglaive would actually fuck over your laning phase, as his first big spike is with catalyst + level 6.

I started playing back in the days of a new champion coming out every other week. And there was always a pile of guys that nobody knew what they did. Like all chat would literally be like "who is this red guy? Is he magic? What does he do?" And was like that pretty much every game. It would be a bunch of cheapy guys like soraka and ashe and nunu, with one guy playing Vlad or jarvan that had been out a few months and nobody ever saw and whoever the new guy was.

The core differences are that you have larger skill variance and you don't have to respect the jungler as much. Saying that Wukong is good in lane because you're better than your opponent is different than saying that Wukong is objectively good in lane.

And saying that wukong doesnt fit super well into pro-top meta doesnt mean he's objectively not good in lane

been playing garen before the patch and after (garen/shen were basically my no brain top lane champs). Didn't really change all that much, till your villain is someone important. That is really noticable. Otherwise his power got a bit shifted around from early to late game, made him slightly less of a lanebully, slightly more aoe damage threat in lategame teamfights. Nothing too huge imo.

New items help him a lot.

shyvana is bad because people have finally started realizing she has no power before lvl 6 and started abusing that. And even THEN at 6 her ult isn't THAT great for ganking.

Honestly all the feral flare junglers went down this patch because almost all have no pressure before 6. The only exceptions are Xin and Udyr to a lesser extent (but Udyr is bad for other reasons).
