We kicked the shit out of them Me and bitz just smurf smashed a rioters in ranked a week before bard released. I've also beat Hackee and StephanosRex. All of them were bad.

Everyone in that game is at the same ELO by some combination of their game sense and their mechanical play. If you're feeding because your mechanics suck, logically you have the most game sense in that game.

In high elo that may be the case, however it isn't so in low elo.

She wanted us to group mid against a Diana, Sona, Fiora, Graves and Hecarim.

The very obvious con, all the fucking AoE in the world, all this while they have a massive gold lead, and a couple of dragons.

But is the alternative to let them 5 push your towers while people farm side lanes? If they are grouping, you need to group. That's the bottom line.

It's less of an assumption and more just saying there is context to everything. Were people getting caught out? Why was the answer group? What was the alternative to grouping? Also with your explanation it makes it sound like you were splitting while your team is grouping, which isn't the right thing when you're losing.

League is a game with a shit load of variables and almost everything is contextual which is why it's really hard to get good

IMO players in low elo, especially ADCs. need to learn to group a lot less often. Low elo carries let so much farm go to waste because they spend so much time grouped with their team when it accomplishes almost nothing. If you aren't farming constantly throughout the game as a carry, you're probably doing something wrong in most cases.

I agree, I'm split a lot when I'm carry(or any time really), but not when their fed team is knocking down an entire lane because we are undermanned.

Corki is the most tiring urf champ I've played so far. His e comes up before it stops shooting so you should be pressing e on cooldown. Add Q and R in and you have a champ that needs to always be hitting a button.

That doesn't really have much to do with it because no one complained when top had a lot of strong tanks(which it still does) it's that for as long as I've been playing league (which has basically been since their was meta)the jungle has never been balanced. One type of guy has always been dominate and pushed everyone else out of the meta. Only two "damage" junglers are any good right now and both are still behind the top tier tanks. Basically jungle meta has been stale for 4 years, it's just stale in a different direction every year.

No. Issue is that you need to create time. Not any tank can run it, you need that and waveclear to bugger off and do some jungle. Tanks that tend to build sunfire top that weren't top tier in the last top tank meta are champions that require help pushing the lane anyway. You can't do it with shen. You are just going to be sitting there with a fancy summoner, clearing waves that are pushed into your tower.

So... bruisers with good/great early waveclear. Shyv, Renekton, Pony, sion maybe, gangplank maybe, garen maybe and after that zac becomes even more awkward. I don't even know if that still counts. Of that list I only play zac. So perhaps it is strong, but it is narrow, and 3 of the 7 champs I named aren't in meta toplaners anyway for all kinds of good reasons.

Say silver sion doing it last night. He died level 1 to golems. I fortunately helped him by killing his laner at 3. Steamroller victory.

It depends on the matchup I thought. If he can farm Q stacks relatively efficiently he will start to take towers easily and if the ADC is ever out of position its GG.
Most Nasus players think they live in a bubble. Unfortunately this often means a 4v5 at objectives while the Nasus is *still* farming.

But what matchup does nasus win? I can't think of one.

@voided, builds and item order are on a champ by champ basis. I can think of more than one mana champ that doesn't want Morello or Athene first. It's best to look up popular high elo builds, think about why it works/if you can accomplish that goal with your skill set and go from there.

AD pen runes are not good anymore. Like 3 years ago, they were the thing, they nerfed them, and they are not worth it anymore. Just go Flat AD. Every adc in the whole game basically wants ad reds, armor yellows, some kind of mr blues, and 2 AS quints with an AD quint(although most times I just go full ad Quints and it never really effects my performance).

All the top laners I can think of just want flat ad reds and flat ad quints. Some guys like 1 crit chance rune, but that's preference more than something that is needed.

By strategy he means knowing when to take objectives and things like that.

Until you climb a little, the average player won't know what's up, so even if you "know" the right play, you'll end up doing it alone and not realize it enough of the time that it'll really frustrate you.

This is more or less the real reason not to learn strategy yet. Once you start getting towards 30, you start essentially learning "the rules". If you're only playing with a bunch of people that only have 30 or so games under their belt, "the rules" don't exist, so the strategy doesn't really exist, because you aren't playing by the same rules as us yet. And you will, you will definitely end up angry and impotent like the rest of us, but right now, learn to smart cast, move your camera, just practice with guys that don't have to land a bunch of skills to be effective, learn to look at the minimap, practice killing minions.

Me and the artist formerly known as lil g are currently duo smurfing in very low bronze and we are basically some unholy combination of pippen-jordan meets jet li-Jackie Chan all thrown in the Michael Bay movie that is bronze. It's 2 and a half tiers below my skill level and it's immediately apparent despite my hilarious bad habit of getting my self killed under enemy tower early in laning. Even in my non-duo games, as long as my team isn't actively sabotaging me, I'm going to win despite my shitty team doing their shitty thing. That's smurfing. If you can't win the borderline unwinnable games, you're not actually smurfing. Period.

Honestly the deeper in bronze you go the harder it is to win without a duo who is also good. I went 6-6 in bronze 3 at one point. Some of it was shananigans and some of it was a mixture of fatigue and inability to get ahead fast. The closer to silver you are though the easier it is to play right and win. I honestly think best bet in those bronze 3 and 4 games is to pick trynd or jax or yi and try to kill everyone.

Excluding Bard, I can't remember the last time a champion was released in any kind of balanced state.

Lately they've been releasing them undertuned at least. Better than the not so glory days of 2012 when basically every champ was bugged and/or incredibly overpowered to the tune of 60% win rates. The main problem now is they knee jerk buff them and it brings them a little too high, which is when they centralize the meta around themselves. Out of the last 7 champs that came out, I want to say only Rek'Sai and Braum were day 1 power houses. Unless we count rework Sion and probably rework Ashe. But yeah: Gnar, Kalista,

, Azir, and Bard all got buffs after release.

They left him untouched for 6 patches. Jinx, Rek'Sai, and Braum were all OP but even out of those 3 only, Only Jinx was really notable unbalanced.

I've gotten out of bronze solo queue on NA(which is a higher skill level server) on several accounts. I basically select my champ at random and win basically every game. If you aren't bronze skill, you'll get out. It's that simple. Play your best champs.

Before guys like hotshot gg could say whatever, now because of streams spotlights and lcs, they are much more well behaved.

This is weirdly on topic, but My theory on how I should play to get to plat and how I should play to boost my friends out of bronze or silver are polar opposites. I feel to get out of bronze/silver you need to do it yourself, but to get out of gold you can rise by simply not being a feeding idiot. Is this true or is this indicative of a lack of confidence?

Yeah, that's basically what I'm saying. I'm confident that I don't have to race the fed guy in middle gold, so I can just farm, play safe, push if my guy goes back wrong, control the lane, and make sure I show up to objectives and that's typically enough to get the job done. I'm not sure if that's the best way to do business or if I'm doing it that way because I'm not confident enough to smash and grab gold guys.

It's not enough to just point at competition and how we crave it, because there are loads of domains that don't have to become multi-million dollar industries in order to be important. But on the other hand I can't imagine these games being fun if they aren't done against other people. LoL against AI for example just doesn't have the replay value.

It seems that at first we just like something; we do it because it's enjoyable - it's fun. Then the incentives introduced by competition make us do something to get better at it. But things like the experience of mastery and dominance that come with getting better - that's enjoyable too. So a lot of things about the thing turn out to be enjoyable. And then somewhere along the way we care about the thing a lot more than we care about most other things. We implicitly worship and pay massive salaries to people who are really good at the thing. Children grow up devoting themselves solely to the thing; families are held together by their commitment to the thing. And the really amazing thing is what the thing turns out to be - like a hodgepodge of rules organized around premises like getting a ball into a basket or past a net. When we played versions of these games in middle school science to review to a test, we got into it, passionate about which team would win, 'knowing' it was silly to get so into it but enjoying it more that way. But that sort of self-consciousness disappears once a game becomes a sport. The thing becomes...important.

That's not to say I don't think it's okay for the thing to become important. Very few things aren't important so contingently. The guy behind the pictures for sad children comics once had one (accurately) mocking our investment in and the arbitrarity of sports, but also had many doing the same thing to art, music, and all sorts of things we've decided might be even more important than sports. But the whole process really is amazing.

So as much as I hate how much resources and time they spend designing and rendering skins, anything significantly water is gonna be 1350 or higher. I really wish they'd let me log in in less than 3 tries though instead of putting out 5 chromas and 5 skins.

On the account I'm boosting, I've been stuck in silver 3-4 for a while simply because variance is crazy. Being near launching point is just not fun. Like I know I should be carrying because I'm the best player in those games by a fair margin but I can't help fresh face Ahri getting her first taste of mid silver fuckery, while also trying to just make it through lane with a support that doesn't want to be there.

In short, don't let the fuckbois keep you down. Just try to make lemonade out of lemons. Your teammates aren't trying to fuck you, they just can't help you. Which sucks but it's just the way the game works.

MF + Janna is a really great lane. I think MF not being good against Vayne is an exaggeration. Sure, Graves is better but MF still kicks Vayne's ass most of the time.

I think it's weird that Psyche never sees Sivir because she is a 450 ip champion.
I think I should keep practicing Kalista on my main or make a concerted effort to add Draven to my champion pool.

Depends on how you operate. Anytime I sit down to play, I get progessively worse as the session wears on. My first game is always lights out. This probably has to do with fatigue and waning interest as the minutes playing wear on. If it were me, I definitely would say ranked first but who knows.

Someone.explain why you'd pick Trist. I've yet to say "thank god we have trist.this game" since her rework, but a lot of people I know insist she's amazing and broken.

Disclaimer: I was good with her before rework and I just enjoy her, even though I play her sparingly now.

Her kit is solid. It has an escape, a peel and a steroid. E is cool harassing tool and really really takes down turrets fast. In any situation where you're allowed to attack a tower without intervention only 2-3 seconds away, you'll almost always get the tower. If your splitting while your team is siege, that's at least 1 tower. She pushes as fast as sivir or jinx but takes the tower twice as fast. She can also escape a lot of situations where a couple people are trying to stop you. She also has a crazy all-in during lane phase when combined with the usual suspects for that playstyles. I think she is balanced but the problem is balanced = underpowered.

Supports mains only go to bronze or Diamond man. If you catch the bounce up, you can basically ride it all the way up.
