Okay, maybe I should introduce myself.

Hi! I'm Bins, my ign is Plath. I've been playing since.... Uh somewhere in S2. I hit Gold 2 this season, got bored of ranked (and the game in general...) not really because I was losing either, decayed to Silver 2 ;-;. I have no will to play anymore ranked so I'm kind of just going down, down, down.

I pref mid>sup>adc>top>jungle and my favourite champ is probably Jinx. Not sure though. I've been reduced to ARAM recently because of bad lag that I'm getting (yay riot fucks up easy coast). I like ARAM though. And I mostly queue with my lower level friends to play

I've never struggled much with the community. If I had to give advice though, don't play with friends who aren't fun to play with. I ended up quitting for 3 months because my friends stressed me out too much. They were always really ragey and angry at everything and I thought I wasn't enjoying the game anymore.

I'm now mostly interested in the LoL pro scene but if anyone wants to play or chat on league send me a pm! Or just add me I guess.

Well, people on PBE are definitely lower skill level. Or at least they care less. I'm also averaging about 200 ping on PBE.

I stopped playing ranked when I hit Gold 2 on NA. I'm okay.

Gnar just seems to have too much CC and mobility at this point. I'm glad they made it so he's slower as Mega Gnar.

They actually sent me an email saying they were looking for more people to sign up. O.o So I shot them an application. It took a few months, but I got in! How long have y'all been playing? And have you ever been banned? Those are all factors.


The IP/RP change in Feb? I actually think it's smart. I don't need to buy old stuff and being able to buy Gnar for 1IP is so damn satisfying.
I'm still over 100,000IP (I think), and I'm just above 20,000RP because I mystery gift spammed.

Yeah. Well, that makes sense. Most people who get into PBE need to have been played for quite a while. I started May 2012, I think. My friend who got in way before me has been playing since Season 1.

Gnar's definitely not as OP as people were complaining about, but he definitely needs so tweaking town. OR maybe I was just playing against bad people, which is yeah, like mentioned, very common on PBE.

I disagree - everyone is different when they are learning. I was the exact opposite of you... I never died, but I was useless. I didn't kill, I stood so far back I was way underleveled. I also played ONLY bot games until I was level 20ish. My friends would scream at me in skype because I was never in the position TO DIE... or do anything for that matter. At least you're sticking your head out there.

And that's exactly what you should be doing. My friend, when I was learning, always told me that it's okay to die. Dying helps you learn. You die until you realize your limits and you get it in your head that, "Damn, you can't stand Fiddle's ult." or "I shouldn't be this far up in lane." or "Maybe I can't 1v1 Darius as Rengar." You will eventually have things click in your head and you won't die to the same situations over and over.

Even playing normals now (and I've been playing for a while), he tells me that "dying once as support is okay. It helps you realize what we're up against. Just don't do it again." As long as you're learning, well fuck it, die until you get it in your head that that shit kills you.

(of course don't try to die and just YOLO it because Bins said that you'd learn always dying and stuff)

As for the people, I agree. Muting them is the best way to make them stfu.

I honestly think support is eh role to learn first. If you look at low level games, there are rarely supports anyways (at least when I played. "supports", if there were support champs, built damage and tried to get kills). At first, worry about learning how to kill, how to not die, how to cs, how to hit skillshots, how to build effectively. Warding, timers, and other things supports keep track of are important, but are a little advanced for new players to take in right away.

I played through the first tutorial, so I at least understand what I'm doing. I mean, I know it's going to be more complex than that was, but I can do the basics. :/

My friend died in the tutorial. 5 times. So you're off to a good start.

Two girls in my school started playing League. One was like level 2 but the other was level 6 or so.

They didn't know skills were a thing. They literally did not level them up because they didn't know they existed (or they did, but they didn't know how to use them). It was AAs only.

We played a custom 5v5 and they both were support. Their ADCs (lvl 30) were yelling "W, Sona, please" or something. She had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. And freaked out (both her and the other girl) when we told her that she had spells.

I think it was Iec who also had the problem.

Iec, I temporarily fixed it by just playing in borderless. But apparently my graphics drivers were like 4 years out of date... and that's why. Updated them and no more problems. You can also try setting league to high priority.
