I've been hard maxing W second since I just started Elise and levels on W stabilizes her jungle clears, but I've been meaning to move on to maxing E second for the longer cd on her stun.

Maxing R seems like a huge noobtrap.

I think I understand why maxing R is a thing. Level in R is highly efficient in stabilizing your jungle clear, even more so than W is, which lets you max E (which is ultimately what you want to max ASAP) faster while still having a stable jungle clear.

If my team needed an AP assassin from jungle for some reason, I'd just pick my Diana and wreck people.

Top lane used to be a fighting game.

But people decided to

use steriods

bring red elixir and get their midlaner to leash wolves for them for faster lv 2 for spectacular all-ins top.

And then that became the norm, and everyone had to bring the most badass, tryhard, "I'll report you if you don't leash wolves" all-ins top.

Panzer wants to be that guy who brings flash ignite top, all-in at lv 2 as darius for a kill, when the enemy top laner walks back, dive him for a kill since he's still lv 1, back for items, come back and fight as darius lv 5 vs their lv 3 top laner, and then get a double kill when their jungler tries to help top, and then repeat this couple times until he's 9/0 with 3 level advantage on everyone else on the map, and then 1vs extended 5 in midgame for the win.

Such games don't happen any more. Top lane all-in skills count for nothing now. I played a game yesterday as TP sion vs ignite darius. I started wolves to hit lv 2, and then TP'd in with cloth armor and flask, which bars his lv 2 all-in. He got frustrated when he wasn't doing as much damage as he usually does, and then proceeds to all-in at lv 3... just in time for my jungler to show up. (the all-in window is very short and both me and my jungler know the window) We kill him even though he burns flash. (we burn nothing of importance) Then he comes back and because I hadn't pushed the lane in, he comes up to fight me again. Our jungler was waiting for him (cuz flash-less darius lol) and we get a kill again on him trivially. I back for items and then make a TP play bot for a kill and a drag. Their darius comes top and is shoving relentlessly, so I go back top and fight him. It's pretty obvious that he's tilting pretty hard, and that enemy team (probably their bot lane) is yelling at him. I bait a E pull in into his turret just as I hit 6, and I ult in his face + max charged Q for the kill. At that point, I finish my randuin's and proceeds to stomp him to the ground, since even if he hit every ability + ignite, he wouldn't come close to killing me and darius cannot run away from sion with randuin's.

Oh god what are these recommendations for easy adcs.

If you're new to adc, stay the hell away from Ezreal and Cait. At my elo, playing vs new Caits is pretty much freelo, and I assume that extends down to plat.

Sivir is the easiest adc to play by far thanks to her ult, she's pretty braindead. Trist feels pretty clunky, but she isn't very difficult. For more immobile carries, Jinx/Ashe aren't that hard to play. Graves is fine if you want an adc with more burst.

When's the last time you played in Bronze/Silver level?

I've tried the AP Ekko mid after the buffs, and while it has better burst, I think the main problem was in how I was previously building Ekko (Sheen rush).

Sheen makes Ekko reliant on his E to engage, which isn't always the best course of action in most cases.

I've been rushing Echo against AP and Zhonya's vs AD, and it has been working ok.

At top, I decided to give Fiora another try, and I think I figured her out somewhat.

I thought her duels are going to be decided on whether you can parry something major, but it turns out that that's not really the case.

Her early duels are mostly about hitting weak spots as they come up, and dodging abilities using Q, far as I can tell.

You also want enemies to stand just outside the melee range while you're dueling them. (assuming your dueling someone melee) because Fiora's melee range is 150 instead of the usual 125 for some reason, which makes your orbwalking much smoother after you pick up phage.

I didn't like the fiora changes initially, but I think the changes were probably for the best. Old fiora was incredibly binary and simple, while new fiora is much more hands-on and complex.

I got a notice that my ELO is about to decay, so I played a few ranked games and hit Plat 4.

The ease of advancing to plat 4 makes me suspect that Gold 1 > Plat 5.

I play with %hp runes on quints + yellows, AS reds, and scaling cdr/mr blues.

Take TP in solo lanes, and take exhaust for supp.

Start flask, go clear a camp, back and buy cloth armor and pot, and TP to lane turret.

Max W and farm right in front of your turret range. Prioritize farm over trading. Don't be afraid to burn through your hp, mana, and TP to get cs.

rush deadman's plate vs ad, and visage vs ap, then get merc treads, then build whatever you didn't build 3rd, then randuin's vs yasuo comps, FM if they have vayne/kalista, warmogs if you are winning really hard

upgrade to yellow trinket at lv 9, no exceptions

remember, always build hp (if the item doesn't give you hp, you are not allowed to build that item, merc treads are only exception)

when you swallow someone, hold him for near max duration so that your tongue comes out of cd, unless you need to execute him quick

but if your team is nearby, ping where you will release him so they can prep spells at that location

dont take unnecessary poke damage, but always draw tower aggro in teamfights

if your team is doing well, just charge in and lock down whoever is fed on enemy team

if your team is doing poorly, focus on delaying the game and saving teammates

always keep track of "big" enemy skills so that you save devour for those (zed ult, malph ult, malz ult, ww ult, etc)

good rule of thumb is that you will lose pre-6, but do better after 6 and later

assassins stop becoming a threat after you get your defense item (randuins vs yasuo, DPlate vs all other ad, Visage vs all AP)

learn to time your e vs darius and garen executes

mages can't afford to trade with you after you complete visage + merc treads; they will clear and go roam, but your summoner and ult are both tps, so this tactic will not work vs you

tanks are horribly weak vs your devour, because it does massive %max hp magic damage, so you win most of those lanes

melee ads are cute but your devour cannot be juked

ranged ads are mostly food

as support, you mangle enemy leona/thresh/ali/hard engage (let your adc soak the ccs, and eat the adc)

you aren't very good vs sustain supports, but they can't kill you and you do excel at diving them, so call for ganks and tower dive them (make sure you draw tower aggro)

mage supports cannot poke you out efficiently, so keep calm and learn to dodge skillshots; at worst, you trade your hp for their mana

disengage supports are annoying but usually harmless; once you eat them, it's all ogre

if you get ganked, keep calm and hide behind your adc to block ccs before you eat him and flash away

remember to refer to yourself as mr kench and play like a sir

because tahm kench is the best champion in the game

I use same mastery pages for all roles except in jg where I change couple masteries

I'm pretty excited about the fact that we can do ranked with more than just solo and duo parties now.

League is a team game, and it always felt really weird to be judged in solo and duo increments, rather than as a team.

I think club thing is going to make it even easier to set up ranked parties on the fly and go.

These are good changes.

max q and lick people - (your laning phase is a test of your licking skills)

use your adc as a shield for enemy cc's, and then eat him - (you are more important than your adc)

never be afraid to eat the enemy and secure kills - (you are more important than rest of your team)

keep buying hp items until you can 1v1 enemy adc - (you are more important than enemy adc)

always refer to yourself as Mr. Kench, and play like a sir - (you are more important than anything else on the map)

you max w when you're laning solo, and decide between shoving, farming under turret, and trying to go for a solo kill - (this depends on matchup and whether you are mid or top)

your 1st item should always be a defensive item against whatever primary damage type your lane opponent is using

as for decisions, eating the enemy usually saves my adc, so I do that

but honestly, you're usually only in position to do one of those things, but not both

you're either next to the opponent trying to kill him, or you're behind your adc because you guys are overextended and you need to be able to GTFO at moment's notice - (kinda like how thresh positions, if you're familiar with his positioning)

I've been spectating myko zor bella ank shanba team play League, and I must say myko's illaoi top is very strong and like a rock for them.

He reliably wins lane top pre-6, and then proceeds to double kill the enemy top + jungler without his jungler's help.

but I've beaten her with bunch of other champions

she doesn't like seem like she can do anything after laning phase ends honestly, unless you go 5/0 with 50 cs advantage or something

actually her win rate seems to go up as time goes on.

I dunno, zor, there is a sizable dip in win rates from 0-25 to 25-30 min games

30-35 doesn't look much better, and you have to wait until 40+ min games until her win rate beats the win rate she has at 0-25 min games
