Its very clearly an issue with starting the program, not my network. I'll probably have to wait another week to hear back.

Going out on a limb here and maybe I missed it but have you tried clicking the little gears in the top right hand corner of the initial launch client and unchecking peer-to-peer transfer? I had an issue like this once after a patch and this solved it for me.

duo queues are pretty awful
One of the reasons I stopped duoing when I played ranked is because I couldn't find a partner who wouldn't take it upon himself to shit on everyone if we didn't get what we wanted. And it made me uncomfortable to be defended by my friends when I knew I was actually messing up or they'd expect me to do the same for them in the same situation. It's just too stressful either way. .-.

luckily with the new season players might be able to get their roles more often, so less shitting? At least a little bit
I wish league could find a way to make each play session a bit shorter.

how do your teamfights often play out? Do you normally kill their team? Are you getting enough protection/staying alive through most/all of them?

LolReplay is generally good for trying to pinpoint issues with gameplay
others have posted their replays here in the past and gotten some decent feeback iirc

Sometimes though you could just be having very bad luck

Jinx is also just a lot easier to pick up and do decently with compared to Ezreal. A great Ezreal imo is much more entertaining to watch than a great Jinx~ (As far as what I've seen from pro players)

Also Ezreal has good waveclear if you use his ult :3c
