So I keep talking to others about playing MtGO and I don't know if it's worth it.
I sort of know how to play Magic (I played a bit as a kid and I've downloaded Magic Duels and played some of that) but I don't
know
the game to any extent.
Is it worth getting into? Or should I get the physical cards and play that way?

So I found this game shop that I played at, and the manager walked me through and helped me build this awesome Blue/Red Artifact deck.
I'm going back on either Thursday or Friday.
Yep. I'll upload the decklist when I wake up tomorrow - I'm heading off to bed now.
In other news, I wound up going to my first draft today and went 1-2 in best of 3 sets. Every single game I won was because I played Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger. Apparently he's a super good card and good enough to be worth a draft on his own.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
No but really my deck had a bunch of "meh" landfall cards - I had a couple of good spells in there and a good artifact or two but my creatures were generally lackluster and only served to protect me while I looked for Ulamog. He's easily the most valuable card I have in my collection and I might be in the market to try to fashion a deck around him at some point.

Alright, so here's my deck:
Spoiler:
2x Pia and Kiran Nalaar
2x Reclusive Artificer
2x Whirler Rogue
1x Shaman of the Great Hunt
4x Thopter Engineer
4x Chief of the Foundry
2x Ruination Guide
2x Bonded Construct
2x Ghirapur Gearcrafter
1x Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker
1x Foundry of the Consuls
2x Tomb of the Spirit Dragon
4x Sweetwater Cliffs
9x Island
9x Mountain
Sideboard:
1x Boiling Earth
1x Negate
1x Orbs of Warding
1x Touch of the Void
Also, is it too outside the realm of possibility to create a deck centered on pumping out Ulamog? I was thinking
maybe
something like a Blue/Green deck with lots of draw and and defensive options to stall until I get him but I'm not sure if that would be super viable or not.

Probably because he isn't a planeswalker.
Wouldn't expect much in the terms of price increase until after standard rotates tbh - out of every single person I play Magic with, I'm the only one who runs Ulamog in almost any mode despite the fact that other players have him.
My view might be limited because I'm still relatively new to Magic but that's my two cents.

Is it really?
The only thing I know about Innistrad is that there were Werewolves and Vampires in it. I signed up for MTGO just so I could play those drafts but I don't see them anywhere.
Watched bw, and its really good straight out of the box
That's the Meren deck, right? What did you do with it?
Daxos was the only other one I considered even though I don't really like white or black but you know.

I think I just don't have a good idea for "how much of the thing" my deck is doing I need to have for it to work - how all-in on my archetype do I need to be? etc.
It depends on what types of colors you're being passed and stuff, but green in general is a big no-no in Zendikar unless you're running it as a secondary color.
I just won a draft tournament this week so here's the decklist in case you're interested:
It also helps that red/black eldrazi is probably the strongest archetype in the current format but that's what I had.
Pedit - what chamber said. Green is pretty bad.

Makes sense.
The only real success I've had when drafting green was when I had some ace card that should never really be relied upon in draft, a la Oblivion Sower or Ulamog.

The only good thing about the Splinter Twin ban is that I don't have to spend money/time building it only to have it banned when I actually had it.
Is UR still viable in modern outside of twin?

Dat value. Nice pulls

Yep. Delver gained a new 2-drop beater in Stormchaser Mage, and a Kiki-Jiki deck is likely still strong.
Is there a decklist for UR Delver floating around? It sounds interesting but idk if it'd be solid enough to play against top tier stuff - I already run G/R ramp in standard so Tron is/was my other modern option outside of Twin.

Eldrazi are all but guaranteed to eat some kind of ban soonish - if not in April, then at the end of the year.
I'm not sure how it's going to work out in legacy but it won't last for long in modern.
Why? I'm enjoying the change to Izzet Eldrazi but I don't see what Simic gives me instead - all of the good boardwipes are in red atm and green just doesn't do much outside of midrange.

I actually really like Eldrazi. My first big standard deck was Eldrazi and I'm currently in the process of building Eldrazi aggro for Legacy and Freyalise Eldrazi for EDH.
My biggest complaint with the upcoming set is just how much power white is getting. I don't see the point in printing even more efficient creatures in white when it's already the best color in the game and is already warping the format to the point where it's almost impossible to build a good standard deck without white in it.
I'm hoping Liliana will be strong enough to warrant unwarping the format but I doubt it, especially with Gideon being the strongest standard planeswalker as is.
