Magic Pro Tour Thread

This forum is specifically for discussing non-Mafia games
(board, card, video, we're not picky)
.
Playing
such games should happen in the Mish Mash forum, of course.

Magic Pro Tour Thread

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Sun Sep 22, 2013 5:35 am

As we were taught by the league of legends people. It is absolutely thoroughly impossible to discuss different aspects of the same game in a single thread. It is much better to make two threads that clutter the boards instead.

So, talk about the upcoming magic pro tour in this thread. It is impossible to talk about it in the other magic thread. That thread is for strategy. If you talk about strategy and the professionals who use that strategy in the same thread, it quickly devolves into madness.

I really hope LSV takes it down. Reid Duke seems to be on fire lately, though.

Not really the reason, it was more a disagreement about spoilers between a handful of people(some who had the time to watch when it aired and some who couldn't), and quadz just didn't want to argue so he made a new thread, which is good on him.

Anyway, I hope Shuhei Nakamura takes it, cause that dude is great.

Please keep all non-magic talk out of this thread. If you post non-magic talk in this thread it is antagonizing and can get you banned.

Kinda hoping Conley can go deep with some rogue brew.

Also hoping that I can watch the coverage this time around.

I am excited to watch this, as I am the Pro Tours since I've restarted playing magic(Only Gatecrash and Dragon's Maze).

Probably would be equally happy with LSV or Huey Jensen taking it down.

All I really hope is that some rogue decks show up though. I love the goofy decks.

I would be pretty happy to see some sort of new combo deck emerge.

Samesies. I miss me some shitbag combo in Standard. Heartless Priest was the best shitty combo deck I've ever played, and it really REALLY doesn't work in Modern.

Do you think the ban list is going to get tweaked in order to shake up the format before the Pro Tour?

I really wonder if Michael Jacob is close to a good deck with his tweaked MonoG devotion. He was also playing UGB Infect splashing for Stinger and Crusader earlier this week, and he really liked that too.
