I use the music from the impossible game when running. It's got a great beat and I like to pretend that I'm the little square jumping over the triangles :D

Civ V soundtrack is really good.
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I'm just going to dump all my posts from the previous thread here.

I will say that the videos posted by Athrix255 are the way to go if you want to hear more, since he posted the stuff ripped straight from the game as opposed to the official OST, which unfortunately was marred by some fool thinking it was a good idea to insert quotes from the game into the otherwise instrumental music.

Yeah, Bastion's soundtrack was phenomenal. Great game, too.

Also, is music that was used in videogames but not originally made for them appropriate for this thread? Because the music for Braid and Triachnid was also great.

A thought: The more links you have in your post, the less likely people are to click any of them.

By the way, the soundtrack to Closure is also really good.

You don't necessarily remove them; you post one, wait for a few more people to post, and then post another one. I'm not going to spend an hour listening to your whole playlist, but I will take three minutes to hear one window out. It's all in how you present it!

That's how I can keep pulling out stuff like this Very Definitely Last Dungeon theme.

It's very definitely not the last dungeon. Although I'm pretty sure they started the sequel in the place where this plays specifically so that you could hear this again.

That would take too long. :P If I posted 1 video at a time it would take 38 posts, not including the soundtracks to Bastion or Closure.

That's because you don't understand how to present it. This is not GP2, people can get the point without suggesting they drink from a fire hose.

Perhaps something from the cutest game ever made* could soothe this tension.

If you're in the mood for more of the same, the entire (however poorly-cut) soundtrack can be found here. Decent elevator music if you just want something unobtrusive playing in the background while you grade papers or something.

*"moe" is not cute.

I don't think I ever showed my appreciation for the songs from Super Paper Mario and TTYD in the other thread.

The most satisfying thing about this song is the fact that each section lasts 15 seconds pretty much to the dot making this an extremely great loop.

This song makes me really happy and the instruments in the chorus really come together to create a great sound.
“Leftover lady, let alone the strongest to be subdued.
If I only had the magic key that would unlock the realms to the plateau of the highest me.
Even though I’ve been badly bruised, living in a house to become a popular muse.”

hey beautiful ! how was your day ?

Okay, so it's not a video game. It's a computer game. But I've been running, daily, through a playlist of this:
Spoiler: Menu Music
Spoiler: Quest Music
Spoiler: Game Music
Spoiler: I don't remember what this music is for
...But it's still awesome.
Spoiler: Endgame music
For the nostalgia trip, mainly. Majesty was and still is an absolutely epic game. (In fact, I recently decided to begin re-playing it, without cheats. I've managed to, fairly!, beat every level except Legendary Heroes, and by extension, the Master quests it unlocks. The best part of playing the game again, though, is knowing about the easter eggs which you access with the shift-quotation mark button. Some are intelligible, some are kinda 'meh', some are entertaining, but some are absolutely drop-dead*
hilarious
, such as those from the Elven Lounge [especially if you read the subtext and know what the luxuries are] and Gambling Hall [if you've played pretty much any dang level fairly].) The music's up to par.

*I swear, Krypta. No pun intended.
My academy.
"...You have a blog?!?" (Yes, I do. Click.)
Agnigi
, 13p Mini Theme sequel to Gistou, is in design and could use reviewers!

It's not Lash, Sasha, or Jess, so you're both wrong.

But really, you should be picking out of a different generation.

Jess is a
very close second
though I've used Colin way too many times.

Days of Ruin wasn't my thing though. I couldn't play it and the realism turn really killed it for me. I might pick it up once again and give it another chance though... Umm...

Have a blast from my past.

Needs more
Spoiler: Kirby Air Ride - Menu Theme

Kirby Air Ride tried hard, but... I don't think it had any real standout tracks other than the menu theme. :/ I really wanted to like Light because I'm a massive sucker for glass and glow, but etc..

Bonus music:

Usually these kinds of tracks get boring quickly, but this one just stays hypnotic no matter how much I listen to it.

Surprise twist: Bemani (best known for Dance Dance Revolution) actually put out good music.
This is the song that explains why I know more about obscure rhythm games than I should probably admit.

It's like I'm fighting Vi eternally for the completely different tastes in VG music that we have... Bemani... Mmm...

Only song I can think of is Evans for Jubeat without thinking of the DDR games itself but that's so overused... But I just can not help but to post this...

Spoiler: Captain Jack - Dream a Dream

For non-American songs... Try... Oh! I lied about Evans being the only I can think of. This is a really nice song!
