I lock on the room phase, and it stays locked until the next room phase. So people shouldn't know until the night phase that they were locked in. potentially makes it a bit tricky, especially if imposter kills are announced as they happen and no when found.

Role Description:

Each room phase you may pick a room and all players in that room will not be allowed to leave and no new players will be allowed to enter until the next phase room phase. The airlocks are slow though, so you can't pick the same room two room phases in a row. Additionally you may talk with your teammates in the mafia PT at all times and each choice phase you will collectively choose a player to kill and an imposter to carry out the kill.

Win Condition:

You win when the town has been eliminated or nothing can prevent that from occurring.

Description of choice phase:

Each choice phase in addition to any other game actions your role may allow you to take you will select a room on the ship to go to. You will be given access to the private topic for that room at the beginning of the night discussion phase and then you and whomever else is in that room may talk in that room during the night. If you are in that room alone with another player you may choose to kill that player in addition to the mafia's normal kill. However, the imposters are only allowed a maximum of one extra kill per night so if multiple players are alone with imposters the imposters must choose only one of them to kill.

Scum Team Tasks:

You do not need to complete tasks, however you and your partners have the following information:
Tasks can be either short (requiring one night-day cycle to complete) or long (requiring two).

An example of a short task is as follows:

You must have been in Cafeteria the previous night to complete this task. During the next day phase each post you make must contain fewer than 50 words (not including votes).

The same task in long form would be:

You must have been in Cafeteria the previous night to complete this task and remain there until the task is completed. During the next two day phases each post you make must contain fewer than 50 words (not including votes).

This example task as well as the following tasks appear in the game no more than once. Remember that tasks can be duplicated.
Each post you make must be done exclusively with capital letters.
During the next day phase each post you make must not contain letter e.

scum can only use the bonus NK on someone in a room if they are in the room with that person AND there are no other town in that room.

so if there r 2 town in a room, a bonus NK can't happen in that room.

also when someone dies, their tasks become open to be claimed, so that sets us back, hence why I said more alive townies = faster task completion

I think allowing the opportunity for scum to get an extra kill is important
we also shouldn't be sending anyone that's too important if we do try to create opportunities for scum to kill. Town can benefit off of a townie that needs to be sorted dieing.

Honestly this seems like a very solid plan
2/4 scummiest players pair off into 1/2 rooms, the rest go in groups of three. This handles any size amount of people going into a night phase.

scum absolutely 100% have powers/ways to fuck with room assignments. there are vents to hop between rooms unseen. there are sabotages to force people to specific rooms or we lose the game. etc. tons of mechanics that are THEMATICALLY SPOT-ON that would fuck us with a mass claim. especially once scum know exactly where everybody has to go to complete tasks, they can use their bullshit to fuck with us in a major way

So I've yet to see an argument for why the game would be designed around tasks being pointless, despite people asserting this to be true.

They're not pointless and should definitely be done as it's a viable wincon, just not the de-facto wincon. Same as in game, you're trying to find the imposters and complete your tasks. It's a viable wincon, not the de-facto wincon and honestly I've rarely seen a game where it's a task win. This is why I'm more skeptical on BM's "HAH no scumhunting required"

This would be a reasonable expectation. Lights Sab is one of the strongest things in the game so I'd be surprised if it's not in here to mess with us somehow.

Assume 4 Imposters, everyone goes to a random room (Imposters can do better than this)

• Cafeteria: Crew #4
• Weapons: Crew #11, Imposter #4
• Navigation: Crew #6, Crew #12, Imposter #1, Imposter #3
• Shields: Crew #1, Crew #13
• Communications: Crew #3, Crew #7

It is possible for overlap, there's 10^10 potential room combinations for 2 rooms and it's frankly unlucky you picked the same two. On the flip side, we don't kill MC at all and it softconfs you, even if you're both alone in rooms.
