In the darkness beneath Yharnam, madmen toil surreptitiously in rituals to beckon the moon. In your own expedition into the forbidden streets of the forsaken city, you have found yourself waking to a Nightmare unlike any other. An ominous black tower pierces the sky, illuminated by a paleblood moon. In the distance, you can hear the shrill cry of a newborn. Only in hastily written letters and scrawls etched in stone have you heard of this realm, where Mensis sought audience with the gods after the great schism that befell ancient Brygenwerth. As you gaze at the moonlit monolith before you, you wonder if mankind's inquiry into the divine is destined to spoil into nightmare and madness. The search for the truth compels you, as it has many lost souls that came before.
In this realm, you feel as though you are always being watched--a distant tower pulses with maddening light and your very brain feels put to the grindstone of madness.
In this twisted world, you have witnessed abominations that would drive even stalwart hunters to insanity.
In this Nightmare, you have glimpsed into the frenzied abyss that is true madness.
