I initially was getting town vibes from Vecna but Ank’s case is compelling and I’ve had 0 experience playing with scum!Vecna. @Ank, @Sakura, have you ever played with scum!Vecna before? Or are you basing your read solely on this game?

Wrt Ausuka, while I learned the hard way due to being pocketed by Creature in Topaz, not to overly rely on meta, I don’t really get the sr on her. She was scum in the large normal and she was blatantly open wolfing in that game. I mean, it wasn’t even subtle.

Everyone calm the fuck down and please read this before you do anything else.

The end of last day phase was put bluntly, a clusterfuck. I sort of just want to step back and talk about what happened for a bit, because I am not letting that shit fly any longer than it needs to.

I think a lot of this started with Ank trying to ram through her awful Vecna read full Wisdom style, making the entire atmosphere of the game about her and her read and then flipping out and trying to make everything about her yet again by going and leaving the dance because after I forced her to hold back on her lynch she had to protect her ego and go "who cares let's just pick town pairs and make everyone leave" instead. Frankly I don't really blame most people in this game for the game devolving into chaos like this, because her and the way she was doing this sort of just made it impossible for it _not_ to. The way she was playing escalated tensions in the game a lot and it made it really easy for everyone's feelings to get hurt, not just hers or mine or Vecna's.

This is more so the case when you consider what actually happens when people go lone wolf mode and try to leave instead of actually working together and forming proper lynches with wagons. When people leave like that, well chaos just happens. You don't get people playing for the sake of the game, you get everyone fighting for themselves, trying to make a point while everyone else is just left frustrated not being able to do jack shit about it because you can't convince anyone of anything once they have that power in their hands. Then when it doesn't work (and most of the time it doesn't) everyone just is shit out of luck because we get literally no information whatsoever from the deaths of the players when they leave like that, the atmosphere is still shit and with no way out of it, the chaos continues.

I think the best thing we can do right now is all just put the end of last day phase behind us entirely, try to forget about it and go back to playing the game. I said at the start of the game no one should leave (though I can't stop sakura doing so in MYLO) and I firmly stand by that. Yes, we are down two pairs now but I see absolutely no reason we can't still do this. We just need to step the fuck back and think about it- and GIF I sort of also am a little irritated at you for this because I know you wanted to try to bait a NK and keep morale up, but it kills _my_ morale when you sit there and refuse to allow any pressure on the person who's my strongest scum read, and I hope now that you were shown to be wrong about Ausuka you can step back and listen to my read here. It was nowhere near as blantant as Ank but yes, you played into this whole "me first" mindset that consumed Ank and everyone else at the end of last dayphase, and I think I'm not the only one who got sort of irritated at how obtuse you were being about your own pair.

From there on we just need to be calm, not lose confidence in our town reads (it is possible! I had vecna/ausuka town after all), play calmly and actually do proper lynches with wagons and not this me-first my solve listen to my point bullshit.

Tl;dr: I don't want this game to be heated for another second. If you're upset please just take a step back, breathe and actually try to think about it.

GIF -- don't really have any reason to consider him scum and I doubt his play this game is fake.
Fire -- going off everyone else's meta here;

Null:
Bingle -- I lean slightly town here but it's a really weak read; like I said I don't know if scum him approaches the game this way and what he has done while he has been here seems sort of genuine, definitely open to reconsideration on this though.
GE -- I've sort of just reconsidered my read here I guess.

Remaining:
Nimueh -- a lot of her thought processes don't look genuine. A lot of forced flips on reads based on posts that really aren't major points. Reads like scum having difficulty forming genuine read progressions so she scrambles and latches onto whatever she can get. I think for believing so strongly Vecna was town her defense of the pair was very soft as if she wanted to get towncred for being right without stopping the lynch (scum in her position basically couldn't actually stop the lynch since doing that is sort of a death trap, and needed a lot of towncred on both her own slot and GE).
Bitmap -- hated his play at the end of predance/through 1st day, his read progressions didn't look genuine to me and it reads strongly scum motivated in that once people started consolidating town pairs (particularly me/Sakura) he needs to find reasons to throw shade on us to keep us from having too much sway; absolutely hated his jump onto the Vecna wagon, read like scum playing wait-and-see until it felt likely the wagon would go through and then going with the flow; there's more I could point out and I'll probably break this all down in a separate post if I need to but I really hope people can step back and look at his play here again.

Here's why I think the final scum are in the same pair:

(1) the kill on the IC indicates that scum DOESN'T need me dead to win. I.e. that they just need to be in the final pairing. In fact scum has a clear path to victory - lynch the other two pairs don't get lynched and then Sakura leaves then they go "yeet bye bye"
(2) there's been A LOT OF PAIRS defending their partner rly hard. if ur irrationally defending ur partner rly hard u can just die anyway tbh.

I don't think Nimu/GE is a scum pair, since I don't think Nimu's pre-read and defense of GE works if GE is scum (her meta was accurate tbh), only if it's Nimu-scum GE-town.

The reason is if you play this like how the previous dance games I've been in have gone and just have people leaving the dance to kill their partner you miss out on all the information you get from pushing lynches through like in a normal game like votes, reactions, who attacks who for what reasons and who defends who and etc. I'm gonna pull a quick anecdote: the last dance game I was in had me and Kagami, me in a T/T pair and him in a T/S pair, and we tried to play it that way trying to figure out autowin plans ruling people out based on associative tells. At the end of the day we had a correct autowin plan down but 1) no one else went along with it, and then 2) Kagami and I both got paranoid his and my partners were town and scum respectively, I wound up leaving and everything just got fucked.

Tl;dr leaving the dance is basically a giant trap and we shouldn't do it.

Oh it's definitely not cuz of you, it's just mafia takes such a big toll on my mind. I quit a year and a half ago but came back because Sakura told me about this game and I couldn't resist it, ahaha.
