splitting the deck is usually risky because of how the deck works, we aren't guaranteed to have full scope of the deck and more people might lie so if you and your chancellor disagree and enter a conflict, you lock both of yourselves up and lose two blues from the deck

also, @dweller, the reason why we should nein 37 and 4x and not play every single gov is for the reasons why ff hit on already:
it minimizes the number of touches on the deck. the more people touching the deck, the less information we get overall.
for example, lets say the deck is RBRRBRRRBRRRBBBRR, and that 136 are all fascist, and 6 is hitty.

15 plays, 1 gets RBR, hands RR to chans. chans plays R, with RRR and RR claimed.
26 plays, 2 gets RBR, hands RB to chans. chans plays R, with RRB and RR claimed. -> 26 are now frozen.
37 plays. 3 gets RRB, hands RR to chans. chans plays R, with RRR and RR claimed. -> 3 now has inv, checks 7 due to meta. sees lib, claims fasc.
41 plays. 4 gets RRR, hands RR to chans. chans plays R, with RRR and RR claimed. -> 34 are now in soft conf, and 4 has SE. they pick 5. 5 doesn't have anyone they can pick. 14 are TL'd, 26 and 37 are in conf. They decided to gp 3.
53 plays. 5 gets BBB, hands BB to chans. chans plays B, with BBB and BB claimed. -> 3 is now cnh.
since two cards are remaining, the deck gets shuffled with 4B, 8R. however, theres a problem: a claim of 4B, 11R while technically possible, it's impossible in this situation, and there's a conflict. someone clearly dropped, but the question is who? additionally, the claim is impossible while there's a card conflict. 26 definitely has a fascist who dropped, 134 most likely has one since all three of them are claiming RRR. the problem becomes how you sort it out, which you'd struggle with in that scenario. that's also ignoring the fact that someone could've underclaimed or overclaimed, meaning they said they got more/less blue than they said they did.

now, lets run through that except without everyone touching:
deck is still RBRRBRRRBRRRBBBRR, and that 136 are all fascist, and 6 is hitty.

15 plays. 1 gets RBR, hands RR to chans. chans plays R, with RRR and RR claimed.
26 plays. 2 gets RBR, hands RB to chans. chans plays R, with RRB and RR claimed. -> 26 frozen due to conf
37 and 4x are both neined.
51 plays. 5 gets RRB, hands RB to chans. chans plays B, with RRB and RB claimed.
62 and 37 are both neined.
14 plays. 1 gets RRR, hands RR to chans. chans plays R, with RRR and RR claimed. -> 1 gets inv, and due to meta they inv chans. they see lib, and claim lib.
26 and 37 are both neined.
45 plays. 4 gets BBB, hands BB to chans. chans plays B, with BBB and BB claimed.
since two cards remain, the deck is shuffled with 4B, 8R, with 5B, 10R claimed. once again, this is an impossible claim. we have a conflict. once again, someone obviously dropped, but it's much easier to solve it here. 26 has fasc, but 14 likely has a fasc as well since both claimed RRR.

three cards unaccounted for, with two possible cards. however, its much easier to figure out who dropped here. we obviously know one of 26 dropped, however, the two RRR claims are also suspect. with that in mind, we can start narrowing down the suspect pool much faster.

What does "dropped" mean here exactly?

dropped means discarding a card, typically a liberal. i only really ever hear someone saying dropping when talking about blues tho.

Personally I like to investigate someone I feel is very lib to remove my doubts on them being hitler but thats just me.

Oh yeah and btw "conflicts" can refer to an investigation conflict where someone claims to have investigated a fascist.

anyways, so, egix is pres, he picks you to be chans. he claims to pass you rb, but r is played. what does that tell us? you're fascist. you can't be lib, because you'd have claimed egix!fasc. is it possible that both of you are fasc? yes, but we confirm that you are a fascist, meaning you will get the bullet when it comes to that.
