You pull open the shelf to see the elevator shaft. It appears there is a panel allowing you to climb in, and up the shaft. It probably opened earlier when you solved the puzzle.

The shaft goes up. You can see the elevator car two storeys up

Remove phone from box and take out the lithium ion battery, place the phone back in the phone box

Grease one side of phone battery to make a sticky battery

Attach metal hook to bandages.

Turn on head light

Use Hook rope to safely climb elevator shaft

You use your bandages and hook, to scale up the metal bars on the sides of the elevator. This allows you to get up 1 storey, but the rest of the elevator is unscalable. You are outside the elevator doors to another room.

Your headlamp goes out.
