"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"
"Well, I..."
"What? Nothing? You would make the prince suffer over... nothing?"
A good friend of mine is back from Japan (he was teaching English over there for the past 4 years) and he was someone who I always played Magic with when I got back from Sicily. So now that he's back, I've been attending a weekly Commander night and a bi-weekly board game night when the 2nd job doesn't interfere.
I bought a the pre-con Subjective Reality and reformatted it a bit for my own style. I still have a bit to go on it, but I'm pleased so far, even if I don't regularly stand a chance against the dudes that I'm playing against.

I'll echo what Shea said, if anyone ever needs to borrow something and I have it I will be more than willing. Ironically Magic events are how I met three MSers and the only ones I have met in real life.
I don't play much magic anymore (got bored of the sets, also arena sucks and meeting people is illegal) but I love the art! My avatar is Seb McKinnon's glorious Cuombaij Witches
Lol remember when pro tours were called 'Pro Tours' and qualifying for them made sense and didn't require playing hundreds of online games a month with a 65% winrate? I do (not that I was ever qualifying either way)

it's a very new piece of art (I keep up with the art that's released in every new set) from some new supplemental product or something. McKinnon who was previously a very conventional magic artist deciding to paint entirely stylistic weirdness has been one of the better things to happen to magic art in years.
here's a nice link to every card with Seb McKinnon art, lots of exceptional work in there. Scheming Symmetry and Bedevil are my personal favourites i think.
also a big fan of Murderous Rider (showcase version) and The Eldest Reborn, both by Jenn Ravenna. she's less prolific than Seb, but similarly great imo.
hey y'all i got super into MTG during my hiatus from MS. i did one draft and suddenly it became my life for the last four years. still playing Arena most days, but i miss the real thing like you wouldn't believe.

For sure. I get bored and just want to do something different and then get crushed because my different deck isn't optimized. It's easier to do that type of deck building with Historic or Modern.

I mean just qualify on mtgo?
Okay but now we run into the fact that I'm really bad at magic cards (thus my comment about never having a chance to win a paper tournament, either)
Like the four horsemen of the apocalypse, not like a woman who is really into horses.
