The reactions to a trust are much more telling.
When a50 yolo trusted in our previous game - it caused me to alignment tell very hard.

i like using my vote in mafia games liberally and if its replaced by a trust mechanic, that's no different.

Glad to see Faker saw the light at least about moving the game along

If people want a setup where people have agency, having a vote mechanic for allowing trusts could be always implemented to add a layer.

e.g. vote for X to be allowed to trust someone, requires some small number of votes to be allowed.

And then it could be passed around like a baton if someone declines.

idk just spitballing, because if you want people to play in a specific way, you need to design the setup that way - I think my strategy was perfectly valid for wanting to play fast and aggressive and leave scum in the dust/cause reactions to bring out towntells. I always have played unorthodox and will continue to.

also for the future, if you want to dodge someone, tell them post game instead of OGIing in the game thread, aight?

look dude - I was a moderator for Epicmafia near the tail end of its lifecycle, moderating gamethrow was part of it.

I saw some batshit insane stupid plays that flopped horribly.(think what i did in this game but like 10x worse)

But the person doing them was trying to use it to win.

Ergo - not gamethrow, as long as it isn't a pattern.

yes we use the word "throwing" to describe people doing bad plays, but from a rules perspective, gamethrow has and always should be defined as intentionally playing against wincon. For some that can include intentionally making a move that will guarantee a negative outcome that is severe, such as shooting outside of clears when that would put the number of clears at majority(which is autowin) - but overall, unorthodox plays will never, and should never, be classed as gamethrow.

idk just spitballing, because if you want people to play in a specific way, you need to design the setup that way - I think my strategy was perfectly valid for wanting to play fast and aggressive and leave scum in the dust/cause reactions to bring out towntells. I always have played unorthodox and will continue to.

^^ anyways here's my suggestion if people want to play in a specific way without risk and also add a layer of info

10p require 3 votes on someone to allow them to extend trust -> 8p 2 votes -> 6p 1 vote -> 4p 0 votes(anyone can trust whenever)

that way game still moves at a similar pace, and there's something for players to do rather than just *talk*
