In day 1, you do not need to do a lot to find town. You should always remember that the vast majority of the game is town and the bar ought to be relatively low.

I might start signing my posts. When we decided to hydra, I thought it would be super obvious who was posting. However, since we both are trying to do the post restriction, I don't know that it is as clear.

We were roleblocked last night, and this is pretty uncool of who ever did that.

We also received a box. We have no way to use the box. It may be a fruit vendor type ability, but there was an indication it might be more then that. Interestingly, we got the box at the start of the night. Which means we were targeted either during night 0 or during the day.

So, I agree that the hammer was bad. But they did announce that they were going to hammer him a good 200 posts before they were put at E-1. So putting him at E-1 after this post was just as bad as hammering in my opinion.

We had a choice pregame of Piltover or Zaun. Piltover made us an inventor with an activatable commute and PGO.

But fuck Piltover.

We are a doctor who delays death a la the bleed out mechanic. Aka, the “alternative kill” that Shiro can stop. My guess is scum have a strongman and our combo can beat out the strongman to guarantee results. This is part of why I was so skeptical of Ivan once all the claims were out there, because with me around it already felt busted as fuck.

I didn’t mind the watcher claim as o it role seems like a decent workaround to the busted combination.

So yeah.

We targeted Bombay N1, because they seemed solidly Town. I was basically in the same boat as they were re protective decisions N1, after day one I kinda had squick feels about LLD.

Last night I tried to protect LLD.

Did anything from your Piltover half have a bleed out effect?

If you successfully deliver a letter to a player, on the same night you can become their puppet master and redirect that player's night action (if they have a targeting action) to the player of your choice. Any other abilities targeting this player, including your own message, will be passed to that third party.

Penguin absolutely called this though.

It messed with me because I double checked that she could not do two abilities on the same night, and the two being the same ability seemed weird. I even considered the flavor of the hawkshot ability, and did not see it. So :/

I still think that the balance of the chess game feels off.

Strong willed doc vs strong willed cop is not quite there, but adding in that the strong willed doc was in a game with a poisoner really throws it off.

Unless the results from the cop would have given misleading results with the redirects.

I did consider that when I looked at it, but my own ability came back "you saw Shiro visit mastina last night". With the specifics of my role, I kinda thought the cop would be "Bombay is town" - but I did not follow up on this with the mods

Oh if so then I wouldn't have been confscum either.

That was a concern of mine; the whole game after Shiro attached to me, I knew that if we ever had four players going into night, it'd reveal me as scum a la my (lack of) luck in a previous game I had this happen to me.

Apparently I'd have been fine tho.

All that anxiety for nothing.

There are a lot of things that could have happened if we could have no killed.

For starters, if I had died, T3 would have had to consider you scum and play the game.

If t3 had died, I would have been forced to see you as scum, and get over the "mech clear"

If t3 had saved me, t3 might have town read me for that, and I might have finally considered he might be a doc. (Or, either one of us could have spiralled into paranoia of a no kill).

Obviously it would not have won the game on the spot, with you having pocketed Shiro, but it could have lead to us having more information to solve with.

I think you were arguably the most town read player at the end of day 1, and that is why you were my watcher target. You were our predicted night kill target

I also saw Mastina refer to you as "the best scum hunter on site" lol

So, you being good at the game + you being really town read probably
