Hello! I like the fact that this is still under 1 page (for now…)

Also hey vex, good to see you again :)

I agree with the expressed thoughts on neighbour-claiming, but when it comes down to it, we are all neighbours, in a way, just some more friendly than others :P

I kind of like Yeet coming out the gate with the plan to keep neighbourhoods under wraps, so mild townread for that. I also have a verrry light townread on Bella for mentioning the lover version. (I know this sounds weird but I can’t really explain it properly but the logic is there in my head I swear)

Obviously all of this could change at any moment, but it’s a start

Hi DeasVail, good to play with you again. How do you feel about Vex's addendum to my comment then?
And you as well!

Vex’s addendum is something I agree with, but it doesn’t sway me either way from an alignment perspective. I think there’s something townie about being the first to bring it up, but not for agreeing with it, if that makes sense.

What stranger posted in pretty much described what I was feeling, and I still can't actually explain it any better than Stranger did. The "huh?" felt off somehow. It was the sort of tiny little thing that had the potential to bloom into something bigger maybe.

As a bit of an update on where I'm at, I'm reading Bella, Yeet, Vex as town.

A little less confident in STD, but I have a mild townread there for , because I feel like scum would easily be able to come up with a townread there.
Stranger gets points for eerily vibing with what I was thinking, but I don't think I can confidently read that as town necessarily.

I'm still most suspicious of Bulge, but I feel like I'm in "watch and wait" mode atm

Hi! So bulge became a bit more concerning to me after the "huh?" with posts like this:
In post 38, The Bulge wrote:
In post 33, Vex Vience wrote:
@anyone who voted yeet - mind explaining why you rvs voted yeet

i'd rather not have the game stall out in rvs, so i'm gonna get it started with this
cuz there was already a vote there

why are you asking for reasons behind rvs votes and not for any serious votes?
Vex's post felt like a true attempt to get the game moving, likely out of frustration from the slow start, whereas Bulge's response and follow-up question already feels defensive. The response itself is totally adequate, but the question feels reactionary rather than proactive. I think that scum will more likely feel the need to turn a question back on the asserter.

The questions in and also did not... impress me? My reaction to the posts is very much "okay this sure is a question".

--

A question I do have for the bulge atm though is, if you think your wagon is a device for scum, why vote Mala, who was not involved with the wagon?

--

Other update is that I read STD as town more strongly than I did before. In the recent game we played together, where STD was scum, his approach to reading me was "sure, town I guess" and this is obviously very different, but also in a way where it feels like he is actually trying to work out my alignment instead of knowing it already.

not really

maybe it's just me but i'm having trouble reconciling your words with your vote on me
In post 117, Stranger wrote: As for your points against DV, the second one doesn't feel like a stance, frankly. If anything it's avoiding the caution to the wind approach of lolhammering and just... seeing how things play out. I don't think it's egregious. The first quote is more... abstract and words for the sake of it though. Did, in the last game, DV have takes/stances that were more concrete than that?
i dunno it's hard to say, i'd say he was more direct

DV is a master of saying pretty things

it didn't feel like he was saying pretty things in the previous game i just played with him

it feels like he's just trying to say pretty things here
do you think I would also say pretty things as town?

To give a bit of insight into my thoughts, I have often pondered whether my way of playing mafia has become too "serious business" and something I think about is how I can bring a bit more fun to it. I don't think I've really done that here but I suppose my more... interesting wording was a way of being a bit less serious with how I was expressing my thoughts.
The big part of why I think your reasoning is totally sound though is because often I am more... flamboyant (for lack of a better word) as mafia to try and create more of an impression of "looseness" and being relaxed, and my scumplay is very performative.

So yeah I don't know where this is going except that maybe as town I'm actually trying to play a bit more like how I do as scum because that seems more fun?

I don't know, that seems confusing

I am town here though

Bulge's fixation on Vex reads stubborn-town to me. Bulge got read as scum, at least partly for the intense focus on Vex and there was no real attempt to change things up to try and be read as town instead. The appeals to get people on their side read as genuine.

Titus, on the other hand, is an external perspective. The read of "the people going after bulge are scum creating noise" does not feel like a real reason, but rather an excuse to read Bulge as town and Vex as scum for the sake of positioning. Titus as scum, coming in an hammering bulge-town does not really help much long-term, and titus-scum would know that they would probably be one of the first slots looked at, so in some ways Titus-scum positionally needs to be on the alternative wagon, even if it doesn't actually make any sense.

I like Stranger's posts intellectually, and feel like there's good logic and reasoning there, but it
probably
could all still come from scum.

Bulge's post about people on the sidelines (Bella in particular) was an exact thought I had as well, but I don't necessarily mind Bella's response to that. I do think it's hard for people to
not
be on the sidelines this game.

If I were to share my reads I think I'd be at something like:

Town

STD
Vex

MegAzumarill
Bulge
Bella

Stranger
Malakittens

Titus

Scum

...or something like that. It feels like it's constantly changing in my head

So it’s one of the rest of you!

In post 283, Stranger wrote:VOTE: Malakittens

I feel comfortable doing this given the D1 scum flip. My vote is based solely on the (1) post that Malakittens has made in the neighborhood we have, where she stated that she believed the last scum to be in DV/Vex/Bulge given Titus's iso. This is written under the assumption that it's not just Titus's iso.

For DeasVail, I find it fairly hard to believe that someone would believe scum writing this about their partner:
In post 191, Titus wrote:VOTE: Vex

I admit to skimming. I like Bulge Stranger and StD as town.

Major reservations on Mala and Bella

Vex is my first player with a post that pinged me

Meg is gtmh town.
DV is null but I should have an opinion. I just don’t.
Because it is so blaringly obvious in how it's written. Everyone else gets an opinion but... Titus doesn't even lump her partner somewhere else, just shrugs at him says "yeah, no clue what my read is there lol" and goes about her business? That doesn't feel like the read a partner gives another. I find it curious that Mala suspects DV also because of , where DV has both myself and Mala as scumreads. I think I might be reading into this part too much but because we're neighbors I wonder if Mala was trying to get me to consider it or something like "Oh, DV is bad, let's get him."

This is... on the tinfoil end of things, though. Because there was literally just the listed partners and no reasoning.

For Vex/Bulge, I can see this making a little more sense. Titus was a lot more thorough in her opinions there, but even then it feels a bit out of the loop. This is actually a point towards Mala being town too, as I think scum might be a little more cognizant of what was going on EOD rather than jumping back to the basic wagons that formed most of D1. But it's still like, well, maybe she doesn't realize that, or wants to drill down on the idea that Titus was bussing/defending a partner and that's why she put in the effort there. If this is the case I lean towards Bulge being the potential partner out of the two, I think that it makes more sense to try and bruteforce through a town!Vex rather than hellbus a scum one. Even then though... eh? Maybe?

I'm aware that Malakittens is relatively inactive in games. However, I asked for an explanation for her reads and didn't get one, so... I feel like I have to put her through the wringer here. I want to know why she thinks those three are most likely to be scum.

My other option for scum right now is Bella, but I feel a lot less strong about that versus Mala, currently.

Also, no one else out their neighborhoods, please.
Thanks Stranger! I know it can feel risky to out a neighbourhood but I think this is helpful.

I hadn’t even really thought about that Titus quote posted regarding reads. I more thought that a world where I as Titus’ scum partner push the wagon as I did would be… very unnecessary. Vex-town is because Titus pushed the vex wagon over the bulge wagon when otherwise vex wouldn’t have been in much danger, however with Titus jumping on there was a real risk of vex being eliminated as compromise. Bulge-probably-town is because I felt that the bulge/Titus banding together was too obvious. They did not even really try to have reasons to townread each other where I think scumbuddies would have been more cognisant of that.

Regarding Bella’s post re: Stranger, I think Stranger was a very viable scum candidate going into this day, but the post on Mala is proactive enough that I’m not going to focus on Stranger-scum
