I liked the concept, but it seems I came late to the party :/

Anyway, I'll try to necropost:

not
have a theorem or formula named after both them and Leonhard Euler?

A) Euclid
B) Carl Friedrich Gauss
C) Christian Goldbach
D) Colin Maclaurin

Incorrect. The Euler-Goldbach theorem is the statement that the infinite sum of all the reciprocals of perfect powers minus 1, with no repetitions, is 1.

B is correct.

The Euler-Maclaurin formula is about integral approximation;
The Euclid-Euler theorem is about even perfect numbers (of note, Euler was born several millennia after Euclid)

B's correct. It was caused by a structural failure of a molasses tank in the Purity Distilling company.
