Right now this is a test being run on a limited number of people, and convincing youtube you're a different person/in a different area/using a different computer or somehow get out of the test however they're deciding whom to test will probably work. Before you do that make sure to report that you're not using an ad-blocker, if everyone does that whether or not they're using an ad-blocker then that will hopefully fuck with their data.
Who said that?
Chamber. It's all a conspiracy.
Or is it?

"Ads allow youtube to stay free for billions of users worldwide"

It's like they're threatening to charge us.

I've personally been finding it gradually more difficult to keep ads blocked on youtube and have had to change the ad blocker I was using before because it stopped working. Don't underestimate how much I hate your ads Youtube!

You can use unofficial YouTube clients that bypass the ads, though it's not impossible that YouTube finds a way to prevent that in the future

first youtube restricts usage of profanities, now it's planning to force mandatory ads on its users? youtube is becoming cable, the very thing it's meant to destroy

Google itself is kind of the problem atm. They're trying to change web standards to make it harder to block ads. Suffice to say that basically no one should be using Chrome at this point. If you prefer a chromium based browser just anything that isn't actually Chrome...
