It's fine as long as you dont talk about your game.
Well, that's IRL; that's different. I'm talking about someone here who I don't yet know outside of this forum, and I'd like to get to know them a little better. On, you know a friends-type basis. Um, yeah.
Also, my son plays here, too. We just don't talk about the games.

That sounds a bit like DGB, because her son played here for a while (Bertrand).

a) Buttering them up for a game advantage or,
b) Discussing the game.
Catch: If you know what to look for, you can still deduce someone's ingame alignment even if you're not talking explicitly about the game.
This is why Neighbor is such an underrated power role.

If you're going to go that far then we need to shut down the MD and GD and only allow players to be in one game at a time. I know Adel likes to play around with his meta in the MD (and GD) to alter his in game perceptions. And I've even dropped WIFOM statements in MD during games out of amusement. I guess the only difference is that the other threads are openly available for others to browse. But still I think it's fine to talk to people outside the game as long as you don't mention the game.

One time there was a thread in MD about a topic I can't recall, and a member of a game I was playing and myself were posting in it a lot, and we directed a lot of posts at each other. It had nothing specifically to do with the game, but the mod PMed both of us to be careful with it. I think it's fine to PM another player as long as it's not game related. Same with MD/GD.

Not to hijack my own thread, but I just read the apology thread and it confused me even more (if that's even possible). I thought Plum and Pom were alts? (Which concept, by the way, I'm still trying to
So rarely we've accidentally posted on the other's account, though I can't recall an instance where either of us did that in a game thread. Once I did it on purpose as a joke in poor taste and apologized.
I generally don't see a problem as long as games aren't being discussed; however, I do have an unwritten rule that you can't play my games with somebody you personally know.
1) We have played one game together before. Another one is going to start soon.
2) We have never looked into each other inboxes, whether or not we were playing together at the time.
3) No, we're very careful about that, actually. The mod didn't want day/night masons in the game, so we won't add them.
