As you are no doubt aware (unless you have an irrational fear of Global Announcements, in which case you aren't reading this), we are moving to a new server and at the same time converting to phpbb3.
The plan is to get started with the move tomorrow with the wiki - since the forum can remain unlocked during that time. I'm going to work tonight on getting the scripts set up; when I'm ready to move the wiki database, I'll lock the wiki to edits.
Keep this in mind if you are editing tonight/tomorrow, and save anything major offline in case you happen to be editing when I lock it.
When I'm ready to start on the forum database, I'll be opening a forum for marathon games while the main forum is down. It probably
won't
be the old shelter forum, but either way I'll make sure to edit a link into the forum-locked message.I'm hopeful that the move won't take as long as I was initially estimating (we've sped up some of the slower processes), but depending on how much we tweak the phpbb3 setup before we go live the forum may be down for most of the day or into the next, and the DNS may take some time to propagate. I'll post regular updates in the shelter/marathon forum.
