ACP - Admin Control Panel

This is the main page. Editing titles will most likely be under "Users Management".

EDIT: This may not be the same type of board setup thinger but the general concept will likely be the same.
Further EDIT: Go ahead and give it a try; mith could probably show/tell you more than a guide.

I'm assuming you'll be using ranks. So you'd go to ACP Front page -> Users and Groups tab (on top) -> Users sub-heading -> Manage ranks. You'll see a list of ranks. You can add a new one or edit/delete an existing one. Ranks can be either just text or text and an image. Ranks can either be "special" (must be set manually per user or group) or normal, which relies on post count (users with X posts will have the rank).

That's just creating the rank. To give a user a special rank, you have to then go to Users and Groups tab (on top). On the default first page of that tab, type in the username. In the drop down at the top right hand side, select "Rank". There, you can easily select the user's special rank.

Not too hard once you get used to it.

Well, the nice thing is, we have this handy-dandy archive of titles if you do end up screwing up.

I've given you the priv. The ACP link will show up at the very bottom of your screen, helpfully named "Administration Control Panel". You'll have to re-enter your password. Then you basically follow iamkingdavid's instructions - you should be locked down pretty hard from messing with anything else. Shoot me a PM if you get lost; probably your first task should be to clean up the ones that have now-broken HTML in them, to practice.
