I'm undecided on who looks more suspicious, ZONEACE or ages. I'll have sympathy for ages, since I also was a little too aggressive in my first game, which got a bandwaggon going against me, so I'll
unvote: Medicated Lain, vote: ZONEACE, FOS: ages
.

I basically agree that gin looks extrememly suspicious. After reviewing day 1, I see ML's point about his inconsitent logic. In addition, gin has mostly just been following the crowd, which is a defnite scum-like trait. Plus lynching ages before his role-claim makes him the top suspect.

Of course, he already has 3/5 lynching votes on him, so I'll hold off on that 4th vote while I wait for his defense.

That's pretty dangerous for a townie to do. What if there had been 5 votes on ages previously? You would be the one in gin's shoes now for lynching ages before he could roleclaim. In the future, you should check how many votes the person you are voting for has, so that you can prevent an accidental lynching.

I'm going to bring up this quote again. Now, if you are a townie, this is a very dangerous thing to do. Your vote put ages one vote away from a lynch. Therefore, a mafia could have deliberately or a newbie could have accidentally placed the last vote before ages could roleclaim ending the day with a bad lynch.

If you are a mafia, then this could just be an attempt to make an excuse for trying to hurry the lynching of ages.

So, I'll join ML and

Norinel wrote:As I posted in the vacation thread, I'll be away from the 23rd to the 27th.

I actually find Yggdrasil pretty suspicious, partially due to his redundant rebringing up of the same not paying attention quote. (It's old now.) Also, his other posts so far have been short, sometimes taking sides, and mostly just pointing out points that other people have said. Thus,
FOS: Yggdrasil
I just brought it out to begin discussion for this day. The point was mentioned day 2, but I wanted to see what everyone else had to say about suspicions toward willows_weep.

But, yeah, I haven't really posted much partly due to having finals last week (and studying the week before).

But, on the subject of possible lurkers, here are the remaining posters an the number of posts they've made (not counting consecutive posts):

Yggdrasil - 6
Medicated Lain - 7
Nonrinel - 9
ZONEACE - 9
Thoth - 10
Riven - 12
willows_weep - 15

So, Medicated Lain is another we haven't seen many posts from (although his posts are considerably longer than mine).

Anyway, after re-reading the thread, I don't really find willows_weep's 5th vote on ages suspsicious anymore because of the deadline. Unfortunately, I can't really find anyone else who is really suspicious.

I don't think Thoth has posted yet for day 3, so I'll
FOS: Thoth

I'll agree that Riven does seem suspicious, but first I'll ask this question:
Riven wrote:We need to be really careful today, as i think that a wrong lynch is going to end the game.

Right now I dont have much of an idea, but would like to hear Norinel (before you leave us) and ML's thoughts.

Think i'll go and re-read the thread later this afternoon, see if that helps.
Why do you specifically single out Norinel and ML for comments, especially when we had a non-poster (Thoth)?

Sorry for not posting, but I've been away for the holidays and I thought I would have enough time to check this board/post semi-regularly, but that wasn't the case.

Anyway, I'm willing to go ahead with the pseudo-bandwaggon against Riven. We should probably get a defense from Riven soon so that we don't end up with our backs to the deadline (no lynch will likely let the mafia win).

so,
FOS: Riven
(since voting would be a little too dangerous).

Although I'm willing to go along with a bandwaggon against Riven, now I'm thinking that lynching ZONEACE might be better. So far, I see Zone's vote against w_w pretty suspicious because it's a little too aggressive at this point in the game. Plus, a many do see Zone as a likely candidate as scum.

However, my main reason for voting for him is that lynching him will likely give us the most information. Assuming he is mafia (since lynching a townie would end the game), we would know that those who directed the bandwaggon from Zoneace to ages day 1 were suspicious and those who tried to stop the bandwaggon against ages were most likely town.

So in the best interests of helping our position tomorrow, I'll
vote: Zoneace
(although I will withdraw this vote if this bandwaggon progresses too quickly).

unvote: Zoneace

I will decide whether to revote for him pending his defense. Don't want to keep him too close to a lynch, just in case.

I also find Riven and ML pretty suspicious. For example, when ZONEACE was being bandwaggoned, ML cast the first vote on Ages, then zoneace followed, then the bandwaggon started to gain speed. In addition, ML has remained somewhat silent throughout the game, most of her posts of any substance focusing acusation against ages and gin, whom we know to be innocent. In addition, although ML stated that she was almost sure Zoneace was scum, she didn't place the third vote on him.

I find Riven suspicious because he started the bandwaggon against ages back up after it had stalled. In addition, he finished off Zoneace which would be a convenient way for a scum to make himself look like a townie.

However, Norinel contributed to the 1st bandwaggon against ages, placing the 4th vote on him, while willows_weep contributed to the final bandwaggon by placing ages one vote away from a lynch. But, all in all, ML and Riven are much more suspicious than them.

Well, as I think both Riven and ML are scum it doesn't matter too much who we kill off first, as long as one of them isn't innocent.

However, now would be a good time to question Norinel's motives. Although he hasn't really given off any scummy vibes, this could be a rather clever way for a mafia to force Riven to place a vote in defense. If this vote happens to land on townie (such as willows_weep, whom Riven has named as one of the more suspicious people on his list), Norinel and his scum buddy could finish him off. Of course, Riven has named Norinel suspicious as well, so an OMGUS vote is more likely.

Anyway, just a passing thought. Right now, though, I'd be more inclined to vote Riven than Norinel.

I didn't find your explanation for not voting for zoneace sufficient. You state that you think you were wrong because you believed that w_w was the other mafia. Yet, who's to say that w_w and zoneace couldn't have both been mafia? It seems like you were stating suspicions, trying to put yourself on the town's side, but hanging back to see whether the bandwaggon would actually work.

While we're on the subject, that may be what Riven was doing. He didn't make any comments really during our consideration of when to lynch zoneace, which is more suspicous than ML's post. He could have been hanging back and posted that last vote to help him appear to be pro-town.

I think it's more likely that there are probably two mafia left. I think two mafia vs. a doc, a cop, backup doc, and backup cop would be a bit unfair unless the mafia had some special abilities (which they do not, as this is "Back to Basics" mafia.

That said, Riven and/or Norinel are probably mafia, as I'd think the mafia would have killed one of them by now (unless one of the mafia is inactive). Any other thoughts on the subject?
