Mr. Flay wrote:Titles that don't wrap will vary in length, since we don't use a monospace font, and it'll depend on what font you're using for your browser. But Oman's title indicates that the limit will be around 26-30 characters, depending on how many 'l's and 'm's you have. "Assassins in the... nevermind" is about 2-3 characters too long, specifically (sidebar's likely to get a little wider in phpBB3, but probably not that much wider).
Easy solution: remove " the".

Not that Man in Black isn't good, I just prefer Black Ops at a personal level
for many reasons, not least of which is that Man in Black would downplay the fact that I had a partner, Sudo_Nym. And he's the one who chose the avatar.

It seems to me that if Andrius is getting a "baker" related title for breadcrumbs, the title should be a breadcrumb for the hypothetical role "baker".
Like
Harbor Dog
Harbor ~ bay
dog ~ cur
bay cur ~ baker
Too subtle?

If Oman wasn't sick of all the joke noms in Thread 13686, I'd nominate xReckonerx for
Lost, or
Lost, the Game
In fact, xReckonerx's title is no longer accurate now that Thread 13720 is no longer in Forum 6. It should be edited to reflect that.

Vi wrote:I thought the Title Fairy Policy was always that titles weren't expected, but if not, that explains things.
Long ago, it was not uncommon for users to request titles. (Though if you follow that link, remember that some of the requests are just users asking for their titles to be restored to what they were before they were lost, in what I assume was The Crash.)

Titles are
earned
.
No, they're not earned. They're assigned. If titles were earned, people would just automatically receive "some title" after "some accomplishment". Like getting enough XP. Instead, the community suggests assigning a title ultimately on the basis that seeing that title under someone's name would be better than seeing "mafia scum" under their name.
But I agree with you that the superhero nom is early, maybe even premature.
